Brookline borders six of Boston's neighborhoods: Brighton, Allston, Fenway–Kenmore, Mission Hill, Jamaica Plain, and West Roxbury. The city of Newton lies to the west of Brookline.

Open to the walk in public Fridays and Saturdays during the fall/winter. Expanded hours in late-spring/summer. Please visit website or call for hours.

The Waldstein Playground is a nice facility for young children. There are playful water fountains in the Summer and gentle slopes for tobogganing in the Winter. There are tennis courts and basketball hoops also. An excellent urban park!
