Fantastic place to watch grownups and children alike get so close to the birds of Prey.
With eyes that can spot a mouse at over 8 km Mordikai the Huge Eagle Owl looks right thru you with those enormous orange eyes. then next minute he is nestling into your granddaughters neck so gently like a puppy.. Super educational fun filled humorous description of all the birds and watching them hunt and fly. One of those places you go to and say that was fantastic where do I go to pay as it was so worth it.Lovely grounds bar and cafe and also knowing your money is going to enable injured birds of prey to be nursed back to health and then returned to the wild when recovered.. A very rewarding way of giving to charity and getting something back yourself

Visovac is a little island owned by the Catholic Church, situated in the area of the lower flow of the river Krka between two Waterfalls in Krka National Park - the Roski waterfall and Skradinski buk. Prior to human habitation of the island, it was only a "White rock" in the middle of the lake. It got today's shape thanks to the work of the priests that brought the land to the shallow water and separated it from the water with a wall, so the island with its vegetation became a "little paradise".

While we were visiting Krka National Park which is amazing to see the Skradinski Buk Falls dont miss a visit to Visovac Monastery. You are transported by boat to the island which give you a very good idea of the expanse of the national park itself and the views of the island are amazing. The tour around the island we also found very intyersting as we had a good guide who imparted a lot of local history. On the island itself there is not that much to see but overall i thought it was worth a visit if not for the history and journey to the island.

On the island of Krapanj the monastery of St. Cross has significant historical value, on whose place a church was constructed in 1523. In the monastery there are many valuable objects protected by the State. The most valuable exhibits are "The Last Supper" (the 16th century) and "The Black Madonna on Throne" (Renaissance). In the monastery library there is Bible from 1474 and 23 incunabulae. There is also a little museum opened with sponge, coral, amphorae and ancient pottery collections.

Brodarica is located a few km from Šibenik, its a perfect place for halcyon days on the beach in beach bar with perfect coffee. Our accomodation was direct near sea. From our Terrace was perfect view on sea and every morning and evening we enjoyed perfect atmosphere. It was perfect relax.

The Cathedral of st James an oasis of peace and tranquility in the increasingly cosmopolitan center of the Sibenik.Cathedrals Architectural design unites the interior and exterior space and is truly unique.The city is a stones throw from beautiful Dalmatian coast Beaches, in my view the best in the med and Krka national park is also well worth a visit.Make sure you walk through the old town and enjoy coffee, cake and ice cream!

Just 50 minutes walk or 10 minutes drive from Sibenik 2 nice brothers who own a wineyard. Even a good price: 3 wines (+refill) + big plate with cheese/ham/olives/bread for 130-150 kuna. They were so kind to bring me home afterwards.

We booked this under the impression it was a chance to have a peek into the local culture of the area.
WRONG.
A young woman was our guide and she was...well...
it's a replica village built just over ten years ago which is predominantly an open-air restaurant. There's not much to see and you learn very little. To be frank, it was quite awkward following this young lady through the village(?)
She appeared to be a mix of embarrassed and bored to be honest. You would get more from wandering around yourself with a fact sheet!
Half way through you reach an olive oil production room and the girl simply vanishes to be replaced by the assistant manager. To be fair, he was more charming and a lot more enthused!
At the end of this tour(?) you get a tipple of local wine and another form of local brew and a few nibbles.
AVOID.

It's certainly worth visiting the main square in which the town hall is located and is the heart of the city. It is fronted by cafes and bars so it is somewhat difficult to photograph the building, but well worth a look.

I wasn't sure at first if it is the place I've read about, because the garden is part of a cafe. I was even suspecting it to be some kind of copy. However it is nice stop on the way down from the fortress to the town.

St. Nicholas' fortress is situated at the entrance to St. Anthony's channel, and it was constructed during the 16th century in order to protect the town from the Turkish attacks from the sea. It was built after the plans of the Venetian military architect Michelle Sammichelli. White stone was used for building the lower parts of the fortress and red stone for the upper parts. This fortress is one of the strongest maritime fortification architecture on the Croatian Coast of the Adriatic Sea.

This was a very pleasant surprise, though consistent with some of the earlier reviews. This is a REAL restaurant, which would not be expected in an isolated fortress (very much worth a visit on its own). Good, solid family oriented food and an incredible value considering the size and quality of the dishes.
