I will start off by saying that I strongly recommend you book a tour with a local tour guide for two reasons. 1. They will most likely drive you up in a Land Rover or other such vehicle that will be well suited the winding, narrow road that leads up to the forest and 2. You will gain invaluable knowledge that the guide has cultivated over years. I booked my tour through Father's Guest House where I was staying and Raju was my tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and shared the names of most of the plants in English (UK and Canadian), Malay, and Chinese! He also shared lots of knowledge on the ecology of the forest and conservation as well. It is best to do this on a clear day otherwise you will be stuck in the clouds as that altitude is sometimes also known as cloud forest. But the views from the top are amazing and it is some good exercise to walk up and down all the stairs.

We did the path no 1 in Dezember 2019. We used the maps.me offline card to navigate. We hitchhiked from Taha Rata to the start point. It was quite easy to find the start of no 1 with the maps.me navigation. The hike itself is not easy. A lot up and downs, climbing over fallen trees. At some point were ropes and we were happy to use them. This path guided you through jungle, the mossy forest and you also have to walk through a small river. You don‘t see any tea plantages on the way up. And some point we‘re not sure if we were still on path no1 but after 4 hours of walking we ended on the parking place of the mossy forest and hitchhiked back to the city. Ps: There are some signs at the EXIT that the path is closed from November - January... but yeah we saw the sign after we did the path and everything was fine.

We visited a few strawberry farms on Cameron Highlands and the Big Red Strawberry Farm stands out among the rest. Not only is it the largest, it features many other attractions such as a plant shop, souvenir shop, cafe, hydroponics farm, animal farm and more, all under one roof! My family was fascinated by the variety of flowers and plants sold at the location, especially the cute and pretty cactus on sale. 6 for just RM11! If you want to visit a strawberry farm, skip the rest and just go for Big Red.

First of all, it will take u long hrs to get there due to the jam. Car park is difficult to find therefore, park at the road side is one of the common option here. If you come here for food hunting then properly u will dissatisfy as it is limited food stall and mostly are selling the local product like vegetables which i see mostly are corn, potato and strawberry. In the end, it take me 1 hr to get there for the 4km distance. To be honest, nothing special compare to other night market in Malaysia

This is our favourite place to shop for flowers, strawberries and vegetables. It is located near Equatorial Hill Resort where we stayed and sometimes, we would just walked here. Prices are reasonable and produce normally fresh.

Travelling as Dutch foreigners we visited this small bee farm already in 2012. For a second time again in 2014, especially to enjoy once more their beautiful garden with very large variety of flowers, that flower in turn during different seasons. In 2015 and this week in 2017 we arranged with the friendly employees a delivery to us of 5 bottles Premium Honey during a short stay at Kuala Lumpur. The agreements of time and place in KL were punctual. Needless to say, the honey tastes exceptionally good!
