Our products range from pottery, cowboy boots, animal socks, dog breed prints, Native American Jewelry,to leather works, Mens, Womens and Kids T-Shirts, Paintings and Prints, Leather and Stetson Hats, the famous Handwarmer Mug and handmade all natural soaps and candles. I mean, really, if you want something made by hand, by people in America, this is your store. Now, we have something that will interest our non-shoppers too. Inside Hunters & Gatherers is The Smallest Bar in the USA. Relax on our saddle seat and enjoy a local craft beer from Brevard Brewing, one of our special concoctions, ice cream or a specialty coffee, including Death Wish Coffee. Our incredible selection of Native American jewelry is the best in the southeast. Our Zuni and Navajo Indian bracelets, pendants, rings and necklaces are made with sterling, turquoise, opal, mother-of-pearl, gaspeite, sugalite, white buffalo, boulder turquoise, spiny oyster, lapis, malachite, coral, onyx and sterling. Our womens' clothing is made right here in America too! Can you believe it? Cute dresses, hilarious tank tops, Dang T's, all apparel that goes great with cowgirl boots! If you haven't checked out our t-shirts, you are missing some good laughs. Our men's t-shirts, focus on activities like fishing, hunting, bicycling, hiking, drinking beer and skiing and are filled with humor. The boys t-shirts have bulldozers, airplanes, tractors and trucks! For the man in your life....we have what will make them happy.

Great store with unique items! Very friendly staff as well. I definitely recommend stopping by. We bought my mother-in-law a gift there and they even wrapped it for us. I will be back!

I love Local Color! Easy to find something for any budget. I like to get house-warming gifts here. Items are handmade and there is clothing in the back. I always bring out of town guests here for shopping. And the owner Paul is so welcoming!

Art Loeb Trail

The Art Loeb Trail. Stretches for 30 miles. Closest to Asheville it crosses the highway at Milepost 420, about 30 min from Asheville NC. Spectacular view from Black Balsam Knob and Tennent Mountain.

Easy bike trail for beginners or kids. Beautiful hiking along the Davidson River. Located close to the Ranger Station, at the entrance to the Davidson River Campground Swimming holes along the way, access to fishing spots as well Decent parking but no bathroom.

Connestee Falls is literally on the road. Pull into the parking lot, walk maybe a hundred paces and you'll see two falls converge into one - as they all follow the path of least resistance. Not a bad idea? Witnessing this natural wonder is easy respite from life's worries and cares.

The Oskar Blues Brewery has a great outdoor space for their tasting room. This was our first draft beer out since Covid-19 hit in March. We visited on a Thursday in October 2020 after hiking waterfalls in the area. The pilsner is their signature beer, and is really good. It is a little hoppier than an ordinary pilsner. I also tried the lager, but found it weak and tasteless. We had a great experience there, and we felt very comfortable with their Covid-19 prevention practices. Their social distancing rules and "No mask / No beer" policy were enforced very well. They have a wide variety of beer styles to try.
