Oour 20th anniversary trip to Vermont for eating and hiking was special, memorable, and the right kind of physically challenging. Ate great fresh food, experienced dark and quiet and disconnection, and got delightfully sore hiking some challenging trails, like portions of the AT and an ascent to Mount Moosalamoo.

We went through Inn to Inn, who planned the trip with/for us, and at a reasonable price. We highly recommend it.

Fairly expensive for a short stop but interesting enough. The shop is well stocked with o,empty of maple stuff. Got to taste four different maple syrups, excellent. There is a very good short movie about the maple process that is worth watching.

Very helpful and provided a map to visit the four local covered bridges.

Each year, Baird is our stop not only for maple syrup, but for a visit with the owners. They are a wonderful couple and it is always a delight to chat with them about the farm, or the area. And, of course, their maple syrup is delicious, and we could not return to our friends without their yearly supply.

We tasted the beer and wine produced here prior to staying overnight at the adjacent Inn at Neshobe River and beginning a cycling tour of the Champlain Valley. I especially enjoyed the refreshing Mutiny and smooth Maple Brown. We made a point to stop again for a glass at the end of our 4 days of cycling.

A very friendly and affordable golf course. A challenging, but fair layout that, despite being in Vermont's Green Mountains, is very walkable, if you prefer to walk. If you choose to ride, however, their electric golf cart fleet is a step above the noisy gas carts at some courses.
The hilltop setting provides spectacular views from all over the course. Enjoying the sunset on the deck or from the picture windows in the restaurant is an after-round must! Top that with a very friendly and helpful staff and you have one of the best golf experiences you can have in Vermont, or anywhere else, for that matter!

Every time I attend a performance at Brandon Music I wonder why I don't go more often. We heard a local band called the Woedoggies. They played country, folk and original music. The acoustics in this venue are fabulous. It is a converted barn space...MoreWe're delighted you enjoyed your experience at Brandon Music and continue to return. Thank you for your review!

Brandon is so fortunate to have a first class artists' gallery. Manned by the members themselves artists are chosen by a jury of their peers and their work is represented in this wonderful gallery. I go in as often as I can. I always see something new.

Mt. Horrid is located off Route 73 at the top of Brandon Gap. Vermont's Long Trail crosses the highway at this location, and the short hike to the top of Mt. Horrid is worth the moderate exertion. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the views from above.

Neshobe River Winery

Home of the Fair Maiden Double IPA and award winning wines. Only brewery and winery combination in State. Wonderful landscaped grounds overlook country side. Tasting room housed in 18 century barn. Great location for small gatherings.

Reviewed By TravelLikeaLocalVT - Vermont

We stopped recently while we were passing through Brandon. It's not the easiest place to find, but it is a beautiful inn in addition to a family-run winery and brewery. They offer samples of both their wines and beers, and we liked the beer much more than the wine, which tasted a bit young to us at the time. The beer, from Foley Brothers, is really good; glad to see it being distributed more in the state.

We stopped thinking we could get brick-oven pizza as well but were told they only do that for parties now. It's a great atmosphere (very Vermonty), so some food offerings would be nice. I also would prefer to pay less for the tastings and not have a take-home glass... how many sample and wine glasses does a person need?

Otter Valley Winery

Otter Valley Winery is a family owned and operated 6 acre vineyard and a winery. Our wines are made right here on site and you can always check out our grape vines and take a tour of the winery (or at least peak through the large window to see the operation). Tasting room, rental cottages, restaurant and gift shop on site. Please stop by to taste our Boston Bull, Pink Moose, Chardonnay, Sangria, Happy Ending Rose, Arctic Goose and Chocolate Mousse. Make sure to take a picture of the LARGEST wine cask in the state of Vermont right here at Otter Valley Winery!

I can't believe they are allowed to call themselves a winery! This is a joke right. The worst tasting product our party ever had. At the fact the owner was in the kitchen swatting flies all through out our stay makes me question their cleanliness
