We spent a fabulous week on Korcula with Zoran and his team. This really is a brilliant option for a family holiday - we had excursions every day and were always accompanied by experienced and knowledgable guides who went the extra mile to make sure we had the best time. We were apprehensive about travelling during the pandemic but any anxiety quickly went away and we didn't give it a moments thought until we flew back. Korcula really is a beautiful place and I couldn't recommend this holiday more highly - we'll be back.

My husband, two sons and me booked a one-week catamaran trip with Anchor and Wine in 2018 for our 20th anniversary. We knew we wanted to see Split and Dubrovnik but had no idea what else to see and do in Croatia. The owner Silvia was so kind and patient in explaining everything and creating our week, because we had no idea how it works. I had no idea my husband was secretly arranging with them small vows renewal for us in a Franciscan monastery near island Korcula. The most intimate and beautiful event on this trip. A local monk, my husband, sons and me. The old monestary decorated with tiny white flowers and a few candles. Thank you girls for organizing that, you did more than you know!

We will start our cruise from Split, largest city in Dalmatia. If you have been exploring Split or you are planning to, you will see that Split is combination of unique historical buildings and modern, urban waterfront – Riva. To make picture complete, a wooded peninsula Marjan hides the most beautiful secluded beaches. In the morning we will head to island of Hvar and town of Hvar. Hvar is the most popular island in Croatia and town of Hvar is the most popular settlement on the island. Island of Hvar owes its popularity to strategic and nautical position, mild climate and dense Mediterranean nature. We will visit island of Korčula and town of Korčula. Island of Korčula is easily recognizable thanks to its dark, dense pine forests, vineyards and olive groves. Indented coastline offers many secluded pebble and sandy beaches and bays. Island has much to offer when talking about history, culture and natural beauty.

The tour goes to a number of beautiful places as promised, and the schedule was respected fully. However, this page seems to include all sorts of boats so for clarity, we were picked up by a speed boat (not the ones in most pictures here), and had to sit at the end where there is no leg support (sort of a couch to give you the idea). Apparently in windy days the driver needs to go extra fast (so he explained at the end of the tour) and from our seats, we risked flying out most of the time. The girl in front of us cried for an hour too because she was scared. I personally have a number of bruises on my back from hitting it on the steel each time the boat jumped up and down at that speed. So 10/10 for the beautiful places and punctuality of the staff, but in a windy day you really want to avoid that kind of boat (or don’t seat at the end if you don’t want to suffer for hours).
