Taylor Shellfish Farms

So fun & delicious! Stopped here for lunch on our way to Bellingham via Chuckanut Drive. If you're expecting a normal restaurant, change your expectations :) It's literally an oyster farm on the bay with both to-go and prepared options. We went during covid (one party inside at a time, no indoor seating, no shuck-your-own, bus your own tables, etc.) and had a great time. Yes, there's mud and it kinda stinks but it's an oyster farm! That's part of the experience! At least they have nice bathrooms, the food is amazing, and it doesn't smell when you're sitting at the tables overlooking the bay. We also went during the wildfires so unfortunately the view wasn't great, but on a nice day I bet it's spectacular! We ordered a few of each oyster - all AMAZING (of course) but our faves were the Extra Small Pacifics. Unlike any oyster I've ever tasted - so buttery! We also tried geoduck sashimi (delicious & unique!) and spot prawns (yummm!). Would go back in a heartbeat! Worth a stop!

Gothberg Farms

Goat cheese in the beautiful Skagit Valley. We milk a small herd of LaMancha goats & turn all of our milk into award winning cheeses. Stop by anytime from 9am-5pm. We are too small for a store, but have a well marked Honor Box for self service. Our cheese is also in several fine local restaurants & retail cheese shops. We are an Animal Welfare Approved farm.

I go to Bow Hill Blueberry Farm once a week and buy their 3lbs. Bag of frozen Blueberries. When berries are in season I buy fresh Blueberries and Strawberries. Their blueberry juice is also a winner. This year when berries are ripe I am buying the grazing card with it you can stop buy and pick and eat all the blueberries you can.
