This is a wonderful place to have an unplanned or planned picnic. We were on a search for fresh seafood and thanks to Trip Advisor, we found Taylors. What makes this place amazing is not only did we purchase oysters and Dungeness crab but we were able to purchase everything for an oyster BBQ on the beach including charcoal and a bottle of wine. They offer a number of picnic tables with barbecues along with crab crackers, shucking knives, trays, and towels. They really set you up with everything. Lunch was not cheap, but it was amazing! The view of the San Juan Islands and the experience make this so romantic and memorable!
Only thing I wish was different was the size of the Pacific oysters. We ordered medium and some were quite large. If I did this again, I would order small oysters.
Also, they no longer let your bring in any of your own food or beverages. We were told that they used to let you. We did have our own roll of paper towels and paper plates which was very helpful.
Thanks Taylor Farms for a great experience and for the friendly helpful service.

This place has a reputation for delicious food, great (and fast) service, huge portions and the most amazing Hot Mary!! We finally took the opportunity to try it on a Sunday and we weren't disappointed one bit. Take your appetite and indulge in a fabulous meal -- it's worth the drive!

In 1985, RoozenGaarde was founded as a small showgarden and retail shop. With this addition Washington Bulb Co, Inc. was now able to reach out to the many individual flower enthusiasts and gardeners who wanted direct access to WBC’s great products. Flowers and floral arrangements are available every day of the year. The gift shop is also stocked with Tulip Festival merchandise, gardening tools and books, and unique gifts for the home and garden. The original showgarden has grown to over 3 ½ acres and is annually planted with over a ¼ million spring flowering bulbs. Included in this count are 85 different varieties of tulips, 25 varieties of daffodils, plus varieties of hyacinths, crocuses, and irises. Every flower is listed in our bulb catalog (and online!) which is available for visitors as they stroll through the garden. We encourage visitors and home gardeners alike to come check us out to simply enjoy the sights or see what ideas you can take back home for your own flower beds!
Visited this garden when the sun was out! Parking is very well organized. Friendly staff. Everything was muddy - but they try to keep it a pleasant experience. The display garden was surprisingly open and saw some new flowers there. Fun to watch the artists painting. Walked around the fields - glad we had our boots on. There was a drone hovering above the tulip fields even though they are not allowed.

Squires Lake Park represents the marvelous end results of two different counties (Whatcom & Skagit) who worked together to create this little gem of a park, located only a few miles south of Bellingham, WA. The land was originally worked and homesteaded in the early 1900 by the Squires family. Interesting plaques with historical information dot the trail and are worth taking the time to read. The parking lot is located less than a mile east of I-5, exit 242. Parking for 15 with a portapotty. Trail to the lake is steep but a short and sweet 1/2 mile. The lake is sweet. A 2 mile flat trail skirts the pristine shoreline. You'll find some nice benches along the way for a picnic lunch or contemplation. If you choose, on the east end of the lake are signs that will take you to the scenic portion of the hike, You can go on up to the "Alps" portion of the hike or continue around the lake and back down. I've done both - just depends on how much time you have and what you want to experience. There is one hairy place on the ridge near the top where the trail is nearly missing and it is steep on both sides. However, this is very short (literally a step) and their are trees and such to grab on to, to get you through. The views from the ridge are interesting. Up at the top, the tree's have given the views more of a filtered look, but stunning non-the-less. Trip to the top from the end of the lake is another 1 - 2 miles. Truly, this is a very special place, peaceful and so pleasant, with immediate returns.

I visited several years ago and dreamed of coming back. I have never had cheese like this before. The Jalapeño and the Habanero are outstanding. Extra creamy and soft with amazing flavor. If you ask them to seal the cheese for you it can travel home on a plane. No matter how much I buy I always wish I had more. Mmmmmm.

This is a place where you can go and enjoy 3 hours of fun. The Speedway has outlaw racing along Sprint cars. This is a dirt track which makes it fun to watch as they slide around the corners. Opens at 5:30. Racing starts at 7. Cost are different depending on the racing for the evening. Last night July 9 was mid-season and the cost was $ 16 for adults. Sr. and Military is $ 10. Full concession, with Chicken Strips to Hamburgers and hotdogs, Nachos etc. Beer is sold as well. For fun and something to do different. Try this attraction. The crashes are great to see. You just want the outcome to be no one is hurt. Enjoy your evening.

Very surprised when I walked in the door to find such a wide variety of food options. Many accompaniment products and a very nice fish case. I ordered a oyster po'boy and was very happy to find it was not cooked beyond recognition!! Excellent sammie, fair price and congenial service. Certainly worth a stop.

I visit my sons in Seattle once or twice a year for 3-6 weeks. This past spring I planned an April trip so I could see the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. I love flowers and was enthralled while touring Tulip Town.
We went through the indoor flower show and watched a mural artist working on the mural behind one aisle of the show. There are several specialty gardens. There are 14 countries represented in the World Tulip Summit Society Garden. There is a Veteran’s Memorial Garden, a trial garden with the new varieties available by catalog, and a windmill display garden.
It was a wonderful day, and I would definitely return.

Founded in 1996 by Apollo 8 astronaut Maj. General William Anders, the Heritage Flight Museum is a non-profit, 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the preservation and flying of historic military aircraft. Visitors are welcome to get an up-close look at the collection of memorabilia and artifacts, and a selection of flying WWII, Korea & Vietnam era aircraft. Fly Days are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from April to October and feature flying exhibits of Museum and visiting aircraft.
A bit off the beaten path, but so worth it. Fun history lesson for our 10 year old grandsons. WWII is much more interesting if you can see and touch bits and pieces of the past. Big, clean facility.
