The tour guide spoke with us via the app and in English. They replied back quickly and even sent us a map of where they would be located at the airport. We received details about the vehicle and license plate! The driver even made one stop for us on the way. Defiantly book them! We booked private transportation for 4 people! It was perfect. The vehicle was cool and clean.

We had the most amazing time with Luis and his daughter Maria! They picked us up from our hotel in their air conditioned vehicle and drove us to their beautiful smaller ranch to meet the horses. They provided cool beverages and snacks from the beautiful grocery on the way. Then we met the horses and learned a bit about the history of the Paso Fino horses. We also got to see how the baby Paso Finos are born with their distinctive gaits - they’re so cute!!! We then were driven to the beautiful Manzanillo beach where we had a cool beverage at the beautiful Melía hotel. Then, the adventure began! we met our gorgeous horses, Díplomatico and Rafaga, and commenced our ride with Maria down the beach! we are both experienced riders and had the chance to both gallop (on diplomatico) and trocha (the special Paso Fino gait - on Rafaga) on the beach! Luis took a ton of gorgeous photos and videos for us as well. We finished the experience with a delicious lunch at the hotel, which was perfect after a long morning of riding in the sun. Highly recommend this experience for both beginners and advanced riders. Maria and Luis are great at picking the perfect horse for the rider. The beach is gorgeous, the horses are so beautiful and refined and happy, and you can tell they are well loved. Maria and Luis are so kind and lovely as well. Can’t wait for you to come visit us in California Maria! xo

After spending time seeing all the wonderful sites of Cartagena, my husband I wanted a chance to get out of town for a different type of experience. We were so glad to find out about Taroa Adventures - there is nothing else quite like it in the area. As others have noted, Olinto is an excellent guide and companion. He picked us up early at our hotel, made a stop for a delicious local to-go breakfast, and drove us on to our hike. We saw a number of beautiful birds (lots of toucans) and howler monkeys. We also learned about the local plants and trees and saw some interesting petroglyphs. After our hike, Olinto took us to a wonderful spot for lunch and a performance/jam session with some local musicians. We enjoyed chatting with the musicians and learning about their instruments and how they are preserving their musical traditions. Olinto did an amazing job of explaining how some of the things we saw and learned on our hike connected with the culture of the local people. At the end of the day, Olinto drove us back to our hotel and dropped us off. He is a very good driver, by the way, and we were grateful he was the one behind the wheel! It was a full and wonderful day - we highly recommend this trip.

We had a great time . The tour guide was a genuinely nice person but as mentioned before he is more reserved and not very talkative. I speak English and my wife speaks Spanish so she was able to communicate better even though he did speak some English. I am a very big guy and the horses they gave me were very well behaved and had no problems getting me where I needed to go. We went on about a two and a half hour ride and it was more than enough for me. I'm sure you could go farther if you were a bit more of an experienced rider and had the desire to go farther. We did see wild parrots and that was the first time for me. The guide did tell us there was the possibility of seeing a monkey but unfortunately I did not see one on my trip. The lunch was outstanding it was home-cooked over an open fire stove. The bathrooms were clean and all of the people seemed very happy that we were there. I have been on many horseback rides around the world and I really enjoyed this one. This course even though it was a little more difficult than where I have been in the past the guides were right there to help us every step of the way. They even offered to walk by our horse if we needed. With the guides right there with us I would have felt very comfortable with my 8-year-old son if he had been with us.
