Excellent tour it was only in German over the winter months. I researched and found on all of the stands where you push the silver button it will be in German on the post at the back near the bottom there is a little button you push and it will all be in English. We had the whole place to ourselves in January lots of snow too. There is free parking just across the street for 2 hours. Beer to try at the end of the tour with free vouchers for more around town in certain restaurantserves and bars so basically a free tour if you use your vouchers. Glad we did it love the little town.

Eifelpark

Reviewed By Cora B - Scherpenzeel, The Netherlands

Really loved the visit to eifelpark, go especially for the animals. Not for all the activitities and rides. They do have a rodel parcours, giant slides, a boat lake, a theatre and loads of other fun things. The animal exhibits are huge and very natural, they have wolves, bears, lynx, and all kinds of deer roaming around free. There is a grosser rundweg of 2 km which takes you all along the different areas. Mind you, it can be a bit of a climb, the surroundings are magnificent. At various points you can have excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The highlight was definitely the bird of prey show. What a lovely and funny young man Kai is. Very knowledgable, really knows how to handle the birds and his public. Lets the children get involved. The houding of the birds has been greatly improved. The birds are on display beforehand so it is an excellent way to take nice photos. Kai shows the birds from close by as well. Seating capacity has been much improved as well. There is a train which can take you to the Hill station at certain times. Of course, there is loads to eat and drink. A small souvenir shop is located at the entrance. The only negative point is the way the new birds, like parrots are housed, very oldfashioned. Parking is free. All in all a great way to enjoy a day out.

Naturparkzentrum Teufelsschlucht

Reviewed By ReindeermanLapland - Lapland

Naturparkzentrum Teufelsschlucht has very nice and unique landscapes and nice walking trails: I would say it has even more interesting trails than the ones of Luxembourg's Mullerthal (this said, I recommend the both). Great place to spend 3-4 hours by walking. Also children were enjoying the unique landscapes. Visitors center was small but nice too. And the the Park of the Dinosaurs is very close (we did noot visit)

Villa Otrang

Villa Otrang is an interesting archeological site not far from Bitburg. Villa Otrang is an ancient Roman villa dating from 100 A.C. I was very impressed by the quality of the very well preserved mosaics. Absolutely gorgeous.
Entrance fee is about 4 euro. Definitely worth every cent for this beautiful historical place.

The kids loved the bears and all the other animals. We went for a nice long walk and there were a lot of kids activities everywhere along the way. Very well maintained. A definite recommendation for a day out in the Eiffel area.
