You can purchase tickets online for a reduced cost. I suggest doing this because the line or entrance is long.
Make sure to purchase parking ahead of time. At closing the parking ticket machine line was VERY long. Avoid that.
There is a way to purchase a line cutting ticket on your phone. I did not know about it until we were already there. I would do it again if we returned.
Park closing times vary by the day - so check into that. The day we went it closed at 6:00pm and it wasn't really enough time. We were able to go on all the roller coasters but not all the smaller rides.
There is an app where you can track the wait times for each ride. There are also screens around the park that list the times.
Please note that a bunch of the roller coasters do not allow scarfs, this includes head scarfs.
The park has a play land for smaller children but it is definitely geared more towards older children. When we visited it was full of teenagers.
Wish they would ban smoking in the park. Especially in line when you are stuck standing next to someone and they are smoking.
You can bring in your own sandwiches and snacks.
The drive there is beautiful.

Best three day festival in town. There are three DEFQON festivals a year, Netherlands, Australia and Chile. The Netherlands is the biggest with Chile the smallest. Had the time of my life and met so many new friends. Defiantly will go again.

The Lowlands festival is a great holiday, no matter what music you like your needs are catered for, good food, small portions, clean, spacious, fantastic sounds, nice people, lowlanders, street theatre, showers, flushing clean toilets, nothing bad for Lowlands, been about 10 times never too much, chill out or party hard, is all about the atmosphere.

Flevonice

Flevonice is a Sports & FunPark in the Netherlands, located in the wonderful green environment of region Flevoland. We encourage a sportive lifestyle by offering activities related to sports and fun! During the summer, our visitors enjoy a variety of Water Sports (wakeboarding, water obstacle course, and stand up paddleboarding), conquer our obstacle run parcours (of 3km, 6km, 9km or Kids course), set the fastest lap on our drift kart track, play a game of footgolf or enjoy multiple sports on wheels in our circuit park. In winter, we transform our accomodation to the traditional ice skating experience including the world's longest ice skating rink.

Reviewed By Bocaj47 - Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Flevonice started out as a 5 km open water simulation artificial ice track. When it fell on hard times the track was shortened to 3 km. It is far away from everything, a 1 hour drive from Amsterdam, so you have to plan to go there. The window for the track to be open en skating being enjoyable is pretty small. In December the temperatures where high so the track was closed, when it is open wind is a big factor since the track is completely open in the landscape. Skating has a feel of doing it on open water compared to skating on a well maintained 400 m track. The track is smaller than I expected so when it is crowded this can be a disadvantage for the faster skaters. All by all it is not to bad. Besides skating there is a ice patch for (small) children, a big play ground and skootercar track.
