Berea Pinnacles

Variety of trails, we chose a easy one to start then switched to a challenging one. Stopped by the Devils kitchen, then over to the East pinnacle. Wow well worth the hike. Side note, trail was muddy in places and had several spots of scrambling and climbing on rocks. Is pet friendly but be careful as it was challenging in spots for our well trail experienced chi-westie. Also note bears and copperhead maybe encountered. Still well worth it.

Iike being in a museum. Mostly art as opposed to arts and crafts. Local artists display their work for sale and there are some beautiful, fanciful, even whimsical pieces available. Prices are relatively ambitious. It is a fun experience. There is a snack bar too.

Slow, Southern pace, top rated educators, gorgeous campus, meticulous groundskeeping, and one of the best engineering and maintenance staff in the business!! Unlike the larger University to the north, where winning basketball games is the highest priority, Berea College invests in superior secondary education and has built a stellar reputation for Excellence!

The Boone Trace Marker may not seem like much, but it is an important mark in Kentucky History. This stone marks the path of Daniel Boone as he walked through the old Kentucky forests for the first time. Don't miss this hidden gem.

This was by far the most fun antique store we've ever been in! It had just about everything you would be looking for. We bought (chandelier pieces) for ornaments, kitchenware, and an old typewriter that my brother-in-law has been searching for everywhere. The staff was helpful and kind. We can't wait to go back!

We visited on a Sunday afternoon after the service had ended and all had departed. What a wonderful building and a suitable tribute to the Almighty. Just have a unescorted chance to look around, one could easily see the various activities that bring people together in the community. If you're visiting Berea College, this is a worthwhile addition to your trip.
