Fire Museum of Texas

The Fire Museum of Texas is housed in the historic 1927 Central Fire Station for the City of Beaumont. View interactive exhibits for the entire family that trace the history of the fire service in the state of Texas. Our exhibits explore equipment, trucks and fire fighting methods from the mid-1800s to the present. Perhaps one of the most comprehensive fire museums in the nation, our exhibits feature a 1856 Howle Hand Drawn Tub Pumper, a 1909 Ladder Truck and a 1931 REO Light Truck - the first of its kind in the entire world. An interactive Fire Safety House allows children to practice escaping from a house fire.

Your kids will love it here! The downstairs is full of antique fire engines and equipment. The upstairs is designed for kids to play and to become aware of safety... My boys got to meet the Fire Chief of Beaumont and have pictures with him at his desk. They loved it so much that they would have gladly gone back the next day

We have lived in the area for over 4 years, and just discovered this Park and the Gardens. It's a free place to visit and operates on benefactors and donation. I'm . photographer and discovered it right when the Azaleas were blooming and it made for gorgeous photos. They also have an indoor conservatory that has a lovely waterfall, pillars and other water feature (also free to enter). I can not say enough good things about this place!

Reviewed By gpompei - Seattle, United States

Professional and informative! Our tour guide Blake was very knowledgeable about the reptiles; sharing their unique stories and traits. He park has many alligators of all sizes in a clean, professional and safe environment for the animals and the visitors. Along with alligators they also have a separate reptile exhibit with a large selection of snakes, lizards, tarantulas and tortoises. The facilities let you get really close to the animals. Most of the alligators are rescues from the wild including some enormous 10-13 footers named Tex, Allie and Kong. You can purchase snacks such as pellets and weenies to feed the gators and lettuce for the tortoises. They come right up to you! This is a professional, safe and clean facility.
