I love the Dendy park walking area as it is so dog friendly. There is an excellent amount of off-leash area so both doggies and humans can get some exercise and the socialising aspect for dogs is excellent. It’s great to be able to throw a ball for your dog on a large oval as well, very good exercise area.

Sandringham has the bike/pedestrian alongside Beach Road. This is well constructed and caters for the less advanced cyclists. There is also a sandy path closer to the cliff-tops that affords good views and more vegetation.

A quirky Melbourne icon that is definitely worth a visit if you have spare time. The colourful bathing boxes are a popular photo opportunity. Just be aware that they are much treasured family heirlooms or investments and are used frequently by their owners during summer. Nearby are many excellent eateries and bars. TIP: you can catch the Sandringham Train line from city and get off at Middle Brighton Station (this line isn’t as packed as others). Than walk 1.1kms

We borrowed our daughter's library card and borrowed quite a lot of DVDs to watch at our accommodation - we were surprised at how good they were considering the age of them - viewed lots we hadn't seen before.

Had a lovely time at Brighton beach. Nice restaurant at the Brighton baths and a nice walk along the Brighton pier. Also enjoyed the views from the Brighton yatch club.

It is only a short walk from the end of the Sandringham Railway Line, and across the main road at the pedestrian lights. Pass by the Rotunda and down a steep set of stairs (there are ramps in a number of places, but still quite steep). Due to stormy weather we stayed on the cliff-top above the beach, where facilities were to be found (public toilets, parks, playgrounds). The cliff-top is also a great place to look at the weather approaching from the West from across the Bay and to see the sunset.

In the heart of Sandringham lies this beautiful save beach for families. With playground nearby, lots of cafes and walking path along the beachside makes a day out extra fun. My family really had fun and even your beloved pet are welcome too. No rough waves
