What to do and see in Barcelona, Catalonia: The Best Wineries & Vineyards

September 20, 2021 Jeremy Dunfee

Barcelona feels a bit surreal – appropriate, since Salvador Dali spent time here and Spanish Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí designed several of the city’s buildings. Stepping into Gaudí’s Church of the Sacred Family is a bit like falling through the looking glass - a journey that you can continue with a visit to Park Güell. Sip sangria at a sidewalk café in Las Ramblas while watching flamboyant street performers, then create your own moveable feast by floating from tapas bar to tapas bar.

Suriol del Castell de Grabuac

Reviewed By Juliet_Dearlove - Woodbridge, United Kingdom

An easy train ride from Barcelona - Pau collected us from the station and drove us to the winery. The tour was fascinating and we enjoyed the wines. I have a lot of trouble drinking wine because of headaches etc but these are very natural. They have always worked on an organic basis here and they continue to use traditional methods. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the views are stunning. We did some great walking through the beautiful countryside and thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the family restaurant. The place has a peaceful ambiance and a relaxed feel. We’re so glad to have discovered Can Suriol. If you want to have a true Spanish experience with amazingly good wine and food, this is for you!
