The day spent with Massimo and Elena was one of the best we had in Tuscany! Wonderful food and very entertaining! We tried our hand at making truffle Ravioli plus watched Massimo and Elena as they instructed and inspired us with their delicious meal! Shout out to Barbara from the winery who acted as our interpretor! Don't miss this class!

The medieval castle and winery is situated in the Chianti Classico area on the western slopes of the Elsa valley, looking towards San Gimignano. In 1577 Ludovico Capponi restored the castle and commissioned Bernardino Poccetti, important painter, to fresco the loggia of the court. Production of wine is documented from 1596 on and until today we preserve the tradition and in our vineyards grow exclusively tuscan grape varieties which were used for high quality wines.

It was an amazing experience. Well explained , tour through the wine and olive fields, explanation of the productions of wine and olives. And last but not least the wine tasting combined with the lunch and the information we got from Maria was really informative. You can not leave this please without buying excellent wine and olive oil ( and the famous basamico). We really enjoyed this afternoon and highly recommend this place to visit.

What an awesome experience! Angela was so sweet and helpful during the wine tasting and our delicious selection of meats and cheeses, along with some Italian lessons ???? we very highly recommend this winery as a stop for anyone in the area!!

Stopped there for lunch & wine. The food was delicious, the wine was excellent, the view was gorgeous and the people were friendly. We spent way more than we planned shipping wine back to the US. It was worth it.
