Lighthouse at Cape Trafalgar

This is an amazing beach, a glorious stretch of golden, unspoilt sand backed by dunes and little else -there are a couple of beach chirunguitos at Zahora. The lighthouse stands at Cabo Trafalgar mid way between Zahora and Los Canos de Meca. This is a working lighthouse, you can walk up to the lighthouse and look over Cape Trafalgar into the crashing waters below.

Was there for one week yoga retreat... amazed by simplicity and emptiness of that place... fantastic beaches, splendid sea... only Spanish people there- perfect chance to see them dancing Flamenco at one of the bars on the beach... just great! A good starting point to visit white villages of Andalusia, rent car is a must! Will come back. Happy traveling!

Faro De Trafalgar

We have been there today with around 25 knots of wind. The place is so beautiful and romantic and the dunas around make the landscape similar to the desert. The lighthouse was closed, I can’t say if it’s because of the low season or it’s always closed. I would suggest the walking, it will take abuot 20 mins.
