I visited the center, the Aldo Leopold shack, and the crane blind when I went for a lecture and Crane Congregations Expert Tour. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and we were served a nice afternoon snack of local wine, cheese, and honey with bread, crackers and fruit. We were offered hand warmers and hot drinks to help survive the cold when we went to observe the roosting cranes. All in all a great day trip.

My husband and I had a delightful day of learning, laughs and pure enjoyment! We thoroughly enjoyed the tasteful re-creation of the old time circus atmosphere, wonderfully restored circus wagons, and the Big Top show complete with elephants and talented, devoted performers. Kids will have fun, so so did we as adults! Too many photos to share, but here are two. Thank you Circus World for our FUNDAY MONDAY.

Devil's Lake State Park

Devil's Lake has great hiking trails.

Reviewed By GenevieveK466

I’ve been in love with Devils Lake ever since I first came here more than 30 years ago. No matter what time of year, it never fails to deliver beautiful views and great walks. Whether here for the day or the week, this place is worth the visit. There’s a beach in both the north and south shore and boat rentals (kayaks, row boats and paddle boats) to rent, concession stands, charcoal grills and LOTS of picnic tables. And the trails are wonderful. If you plan on camping, make reservations as soon as possible as they fill up quickly. Only $3/car if you’re a senior. Great way to spend a day.
