Inner Baduy

Reviewed By stellagradiana - Nusa Dua, Indonesia

It took 5 hours to walk from Ciboleger bus stop to Inner Baduy- It's a home for Baduy tribe that refused electricity and technology. The culture is so strong that they rejected government's offer on funding or development project, such as building proper toilets for them. The reason is so simple: Letting the government doing once means giving them permission to do other projects that may destroy the natural ecosystem. The people still bathe and do their business in the river. But they have no skin problems. The people are open to visitors.
