Les Halles is the centrepiece of the part-pedestrianised old quarter of this spa town, and streets leading to it have the usual eclectic privately run businesses, mainly food shops, bars and cafes, and so together this is the beating heart of the town. But there are 3 chain supermarkets within walking distance - the main one being Carrefour, which undoubtedly takes custom away, and I've noticed over the years that Les Halles has suffered - yes on a Saturday when the weekly street market brings in many people, all the stalls in the Halles are open, but during quiet week, despite the advertised hours, it's not unusual to find just 2 or 3 open. It's also closed Mondays except in summer, and Sunday afternoons, and also for a few hours early afternoon. But the 3 butchers, 2 greengrocers, the fish stall (under new management) and the epicerie Chez Laurence are all worth patronising. On Saturday lunch times the tapas stall next to the fish offers seafood in variety and local wines by the glass. Parking is best done on the meters dotted around the Thermes or free on the road along to Vallon de Salut by the tennis courts; only a few minutes walk away.

Nothing much at all ! Its more for a kiddies. Not much choice at all and Im abit dissapointed . Overall I dont like everything in this Casino.

réservation faite pour une nuit attente de 2 heures avec des enfants jamais personne n est venu pour nous accueillir . Ils ne sont pas sérieux à fuir .........

A fine church in a central location. Attractive architecture with a special painted back drop to the altar. Well worth a visit if in tha area and buildings like this are of interest.

Cette tour octogonale de 35 mètres de hauteur est le dernier vestige de l’église conventuelle des Dominicains qui fut détruite par un incendie en 1343. Le couvent et le cloître qui étaient attenant ont été détruits en 1793, et ne demeure aujourd’hui que ce beffroi, dit des Jacobins, en référence au couvent parisien de la Rue Saint-Jacques où se trouvait l’Ordre des Frères Prêcheurs.
Classée aux Monuments Historiques, par arrêté du 16 février 1932.

A l’angle Rue Saint-Jean - Rue des Thermes.
Après l’incendie de 1901 qui la ravagea entièrement, ne demeure de cette église construite par les Hospitaliers vers 1280, que le très beau portail en arc d’ogive, divisé en deux baies séparées par une puissante colonne dont le chapiteau est orné de larges fleurs romanes. De part et d’autre, colonnes doubles à chapiteaux romans doubles.
Une croix de Jérusalem entourée d'une torsade figure au tympan.
Inscrit aux Monuments Historiques, par arrêté du 15 novembre 1926.
