Since 2003-04,Gorkha Zone Khukuri House has been producing a premium handcrafted Gurkha khukuri(kukri) knives which is famous for its distinct inwardly curved shape knife and the soldier behind this weapon, Gurkha. We are the official suppliers to the Gurkha forces in England, India, Afghanistan, Iraq, Brunei, Singapore; Nepal Army, Nepal Police and foreign diplomats, US army & marines. We were occasionally supplying khukuries to the Chinese Delegates, Pakistan, USA and European Embassies, Travel companies, Manpower Companies, Security Companies and National Banks as well. Gorkha Zone Khukuri House is registered under company registration act of Government of Nepal. We are also registered in Department of Commerce and member of federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal. We deal with our local resources like men, material, money to produce our product. In relation to the men we have employed the Kami's (black smith), who are the born khukuri knife maker to produce a Gurkha khukuri Knives. Mostly Carbon-steel Rc-5160, Nepali Glue (laha), Rose wood, Buffalo Hide, yak Hide, Buffalo Horn, Yak Horn, Pine wood, Brass pins, coal are the material used. We use a local bank for transactions. Since our store is central hub for collection of various Knives and khukuris; We provide employment to local people who make Knives and khukuris, and marketise their products to global market. So these platforms for globalization of local market products has become greater importance to our society and market. Each and every sell of our product has not only generated income but also created employment opportunities in the society.
