In an area of 7000 square meters, this is the place for your very special wellness experience and to acquaint yourself with the KissSalis pampering concept. The KissSalis Thermal Spa philosophy is based on four modules: optimal relaxation, exercise, alternating hot/cold treatments and a soothing of body and spirit. Spent an enjoyable afternoon here during my visit to Bad Kissingen. There is a large pool which links up outside so plenty of space to swim around with different features within, like massage water jet stations for upper and lower body. There was an area of sand which you can lie on but I think that is every hour so you would have to check out the time for it. There is a huge choice of saunas, with differing degrees of temperature. Also some saunas are in the area where you can walk round naked. Many of the saunas here are outside with a nice area to walk round and a small pool to cool off in. There are more indoor saunas and a couple of places to relax. There is a also a cafe in that area and also one in the general area. Although you can hire towels and a bath robe it is better to take your own, and also your own shampoo etc. I would suggest a couple of towels. There are plenty of places inside to put your towels and robes when not using and you leave your main bags in a locker which is activated with the watch wrist band that they issue you with on the entrance. This is also used to add payment for any drinks or food that you may buy whilst there and pay when you leave.

Beautiful roses and other flowers, well maintained pathways and many park benches to just relax and dream. You can walk from here all the way to Bad Bocklet and beyond. Take the old excursion boat up to the Saline and the Museum. This little boat has been going up and down the Saale in the summer for decades. My grandparents took me on it in 1957 and it is still going. What a gem. Don't miss it.

We have been there a couple of time, the staff was always very attentive and friendly,
in General one of the Casino with style.
The Diner in the restaurant was just normal it could be better if the staff could change to friendliness, happiness, and professional Service, the Kitchen offer could be changed too.
Everything is good but good is not good enough. :-)

This wonderfull building was built by Max Littmann in 1913. More and more important people were coming to Bad KIssingen, imperors, kings, politicians and there was a need for entertainment. The building has got 5 smaller and larger halls and a beautiful courtyard full with frescos and statues.
The largest hall, which called today Max-Littmann Hall is the main concert hall of Kissenger Sommer, where since 30 years the best solist and orchestras from Europa have Concerts one month long.
The Regentenbau is the flagship building in the Kurpark area.

If you are in the center of the town, it is hard to miss the Marktplatz. There is usually nothing going on there except shopping in nearby stores and and eating in nearby restaurants. On market days, there are presumably market stalls, but we were not there for it. At Christmas time, the Marktplatz comes alive with Christmas stands. Understand that this is a very small place, so do not expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Otherwise enjoy the pretty buildings.

Pardon my controlled enthusiasm for the Luitpold Park. As other reviewers have stated, it is nice to find a park near the center of the city that features a brook, lawns, trees and semi-wild animals and birds. I just do not see it as Very Good or Excellent, but I highly recommend it for a relaxing walk.

The Arkadenbau was the first representativ big building in Bad Kissingen for the visitors who came here for cure. It was built in 1834-38 by Friedrich von Gärtner. This was with different halls the meeting point for the aristocrats who were visiting Bad Kissingen. Arkadenbau was added by the Trinkhalle and Wandelhalle, and today this is the focus in the beautiful Kurpark. In its Rossini Hall there are concert, and different other events.

We stumbled across the sign leading to this tower and followed the arrows until we arrived at the tower. The tower itself has some history you can read for yourself at their website. For no cost at all we climbed the wooden stairs ascending the inside of the tower until we made it to the top to survey the countryside. While up there, we were able to see paragliders setting up to launch off the hill on the grounds of the Wittelsbacher Turn hilltop. We also stayed for an hour or so for some dessert from the rather charming restaurant onsite. Turns out that the restaurant has a super friendly staff with menus in English readily available. We will certainly return when the family visits.

The Bismarck Museum is in a very picturesque rural setting and interesting in its own right but on the top floor of the building is a wonderful exhibition of toys and children's books from all over the world which have been gathered together over a long period of time by Hilla Schutze, a resident of Bad Kissingen and an ardent collector. The exhibits are imaginatively displayed in several rooms and beautifully lit. Anyone with even the slightest interest in toys and how they are made would enjoy seeing this marvellous collection.
