If you come to the top on foot, it is free. I should point out that it gets pretty cold up there, so be appropriately dressed. that all, enjoy the breathtaking views of Austria motherland.

Bad Gasteiner Wasserfall

The weather was not on our side but we drove up there. Parked the car near the Kraftwerk. Walked down to the water fall and up to Bad Gastein. The spectacular waterfall is amazing! We wanted to have coffee at the Kraftwerk Cafe but the waiter there was unfriendly and besides that too busy with other guests. The atmosphere surrounding the waterfalls is amazing. On our way up we saw a Yoga Stage ???????? peaceful place to pray and reflect.

Felsentherme Bad Gastein

WELLNESS ON TOP At the south end of the Gasteiner valley, directly opposite the Stubnerkogel valley sta tion, you find the „mother of all thermal baths“. Austria´s fi rst public thermal bath opened 1968 and was constructed directly into natural rocks of a mountain. A unique architectural gem and insider´s tip among thermal spring fans. The Felsentherme Bad Gastein is the highest located thermal spa of Salzburg at an altitude of 1,100m above sea level and guaranteed high level relaxation with an impressive mountain panorama to the Hohe Tauern mountains. A Bird´s eye view makes everything clear: clear air and clear water. Over 1 million litres of the purest Gastein thermal water feed the pools of these small but very quality thermal spa. This enormous supply of fresh water means that the pools require hardly any chemical supplements. Relaxation at highest level.

We were a bit intimidated by some reviews, but we are so glad we decided to go- it was magical. The pools were warm and clean. Relaxing in the cool evening air with warm water and the mountains towering above is indescribable. Friendly staff at the desk. Great 3hrs!
