The Ratti Gali lake is alpine glacial lake in Neelum Valley Azad Kashmir, Pakistan at a height of 3700m ( 12130 feet). It is surrounded by glaciers almost all the year and these glaciers are the source of water in the lake. The road to its base camp is open usually from 1st week of August to mid October at the most. You have to stay either at Keran or Dewarin on Neelum road and have to hire a 4X4 vehicle to get there Or can stay at the base camp also. There are camps available on rent at base camp and one can use his/her own camp also as there is camping sites available. The bikers can also go up to base camp. The reasonable food and water is available at the base camp. The wash rooms are also available but not very clean . There are no wash rooms uphill after the base camp. From base camp to reach the lake, there are two options i:e either to go on horses or hike. The ride is about 25 minutes and the hike is about one hour on average. The traveling time from Keran to base camp is about 2.5 hours. There are hawkers on the lake providing tea, kashmiri qahwa and cold drinks and are very vigilant on cleanliness of the area. The beauty of lake is mesmerizing especially when there are wild flowers all around. There are no other activities except sight seeing . One must spent at least one hour there and enjoy the calmness of the area. There is hiking tract from Ratti gali towards Kaghan / Naran valley which touches at Browai on that side. There are about 5 lakes on this tract.

That was an amazing experienced that i had back in 2018, what a lovely place to visit, u can rest in sudhan gali, in rest houses or hotels, and then go to ganga choti by 2 hours hiking or u can travel on jeep, Charges was very very fair & low for both hotels and transports. Now about Ganga Choti, that was awesome place, first of all the aproach is very easy, its just 175 km from Islamabad, 5 hours drive. after that when u reach at that point, u can look around and u will see all Kashmir & mountains at a glance, at about 360 angle. and u can find urself on the top of everything, amazing place to visit with friends or family. the place is very neat & clean , u can make camps there and do BBQ or bonfire there. i visit the whole Kashmir and i didn't find a better place than that. i attached pictures which i took there.

It is hidden beauty in Pakistan. Pakistan is rich in beautiful and astonishing places. All type of land forms are found there. Tourists who ever been in Pakistan, love to come back as soon as possible. I with my friends decided to visit Azad Kashmir and specially Neelum Valley because of its fame and beauty whom we had listened about alot. When we reached in Kel it was so beautiful that can not be explain by words. A land of greenish mountains, valleys, roaring Neelum River throug the valley and wonderful weather. It added to our joy when we haunted trout fish in cold water of river. A fish that is known by its taste all over the world. The taste was delicious and unforgettable. Then next day we headed towards Taobat that takes 4 hours of tiring and dangerous journey. We forget all the irritation and pain of journey when we get on ground of Taobat. I have never seen such of admiring beauty all my life. It was like we were standing at some place in Heaven. We booked hotel and stayed there at night. All the houses were made of wood. and were skilfully adjusted on the foundation of hand made stone wall. That was completely insane to built house on such wall that we feel could collapse easily (just Imagination). Next day we trolled the area and praise the Allah for such marvellous gift to our country. You should visit if you really admire natural beauty at least once in life.
