Aventura is a planned, suburban city in northeastern Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The city name is from the Spanish word for "adventure", and was named "Aventura" after one of the developers of the original group of condominiums in the area remarked to the others, "What an adventure this is going to be." According to the U.S. Census estimates of 2010, the city had a population of 35,762. Aventura is 18 miles north of the city of Miami.

This is a 3 mile walking loop around the golf course. It can get a little busy but not so much that you can't keep going. Be careful of the time of day you go as there are some portions of the trail where there is very little or no shade so it can get a little too hot/sunny. Plenty of benches to take a rest if you need to,

We walked to this Mall from our hotel. Very nice 3 levels! High end stores from Tiffany & Co to Prada, YVSL, Louis Vitton & Christian Loubiton!! Also eateries and other stores like Macys, jcp, Bath & Body.

Great theater for many performances, sitting anywhere in the theater is good viewing. Check out what's playing and when. Usually a one night performance.

I stayed at the JW Marriott and enjoyed an early morning run around the Soffer exercise trail. Public water fountains were nice. My iWatch had a length of 2.8 miles.
