The Chateau de Verone was built in the 13th century at the foot of the perched village of Vinsobres, in the heart of the Rhone Valley. The Chevalier Pierre de Verone was then lord of the property from 1277. His coat of arms became the emblem of the wines produced there. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Pelissier family acquired the estate and developed a quality vineyard over four generations.
