Leschenault Waterways Discovery Centre & Jetty Walk

Reviewed By chrissO4598XL - Kwinana, Australia

Hubby and I had a wonderful vist to the centre and walk along the jetty. We saw over 160 beautiful black swans in the estuary plus a stunning eagle sitting up in tree. We thought we were looking at a couple of fish but on closer inspection we realized it was a magnificent stingray.

Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park

Reviewed By Q7840EUdanl - Bunbury, Australia

Lovely area to visit on our Sunday Drive, no other people sighted on the day. Short stretch of bitumen road at the beginning, then gravel tracks and finally a nice walk unless you have a 4WD. There are a number of attractions; the John Boyle O'Reilly Memorial, Buffalo Beach, Belvidere Beach and some great walks if feeling energetic. The area well signed, a variety of informative signage, interesting vegetation including tuart and peppermint expanses, birdlife on the estuary, the site of the former hippy colony and associated garden area, the camping area. Ablution facilities available.
