The Hound

We had a few appetizers (pimento cheese, bacon and jalapeño jelly) and enjoyed them all. The bacon and jelly were clearly our two favorites . For entrees, we had the chicken fried steak, chicken hand pie, pork chop and meat loaf. All entrees were exceptional , and their sides, except for the chop. Not sure what happened to it but it wasn’t very tasteful and had a charred taste instead of grilled. Still, 3 out of 4 and great sides is a good showing. Just mind what you order. Drinks and cocktail list is far above average for a college town. Atmosphere is great. We’d definitely go back.

There's no place like home in Jordan-Hare. Go if you can. Excellent food venues, baths always clean and warm on cold days. It's loud and my tigers are proud!

Toomer's Corner

The heart of downtown Auburn and its university has been a special gathering place for college students, visitors and politicians over the years.

This is in the heart of Auburn and a landmark location if you visit the campus. No better place than Toomers after an AU win to watch the TP'ing of the iconic oaks. Great lemonade and a fair selection of Auburn merchandise.

Chewacla State Park

Reviewed By LacrosseTraveller - Tucson, United States

On a long road trip we booked this park for a 1 night layover. Wow. We totally wish we could’ve stayed longer. As we were driving there the boys were searching for a basketball court nearby. Well, amazingly we pull into our spot and there is a court right there! Well the games were on. We dragged them away from the game for a walk across the street to the pond and all of a sudden they see a dock in the middle of the pond with a high dive! BTW, the only one left in Alabama. Well the shirts went flying off and they were diving in. So fun! We got there kind of late so dinner was a concern. Big Tip - Use Tiger to Go service. They deliver to the park if you give them the gate code. Lots of good restaurant options. The next morning went on a great hike to beautiful waterfall, pretty short hike. Unreal. And if you can, check out their beautiful cabins for rent right on the water. Next time bringing our bikes and staying longer. Must see stop!!
