If you’re into eating locally and supporting sustainable agriculture, go to Asheville—and eat, eat, eat. This town of less than 100,000 people has 17 farmers’ markets, and the local restaurant scene is all about taking advantage of the seasonal produce sold there. Our family (myself, husband, daughters ages 6 and 8) did The Super Secret room last night. Our daughters have been wanting to do an escape room and we finally found a family-friendly room. It was awesome! The girls were able to fully participate, yet it was challenging enough that my husband and I both really enjoyed the room as well. Our host, Jon, was amazing. He engaged the girls and talked to them and was kind, helpful, and funny. We can’t wsit to go back!

I had my first experience with axe throwing last week at the Axeville Axe Throwing Club. I did this with a group of friends and we had a blast. This venue is excellent, especially for first time axe throwers. The online reservation process was simple and straightforward. The staff was committed to teaching us how to throw and gave us pointers throughout our time at the club. So if you are in Asheville and want to experience something new and different you need to try out the Axeville Axe Throwing Club! Cara Winstead

Psychic medium/spirit communicator Kelly Palmatier channels loved ones who've crossed over and offers psychic readings. Available for remote sessions by phone, FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom as well as COVID-safe, in-person sessions (by appointment only) in the heart of historic West Asheville.

This is my 2nd session with Kelly (the first one being in May 2020). I have nothing but positive things to say about her and her gifts. My mother passed away in May 2020 and I had tonight's session to bring some peace before the first big Holiday without her. Similar to the session before, Kelly was able to connect with compassion and grace and articulate my mother's energy/words/points of reference. The examples she used were accurate and memories that no one would know but my mom. I have also left feedback on Google, which also sings Kelly's praises and encourages those who are unsure to try it! Thank you again Kelly for the joy you brought to my heart. Keep using your gifts and talents to touch those around you for the good.

We happened upon this little place last night after dinner. My son really wanted to go, so we pulled in. The people are really friendly and the course has a fun laid back atmosphere. The prices are great too. We had a ball. After, we headed over to the batting cages. Neither of us have any baseball experience, but the guy working there helped us and it was really fun! It is just a fun way to spend an hour after dinner. I loved being outside and doing something active. It's not a fancy place, but that's what I loved about it. Totally laid back and fun.
