Driving under a sky enlightened by aurora Borealis was probably the most amazing experience I ever had in my life. Apparentlly aurora Borealis are very common from december to april, so there is a high chance you get one if you go there.
Morerover the staff is super friendly, and, above all : you get very good value for money :-)
I didn't think it could be possible to drive so many hours in one day, and to achieve such an improvement in my way of driving. But I did it, thanks to the 4 move team !

The museum is ok, basically a collection of Samii equipments of the last 100 years. The movie is an advertisement to visit the area, quite stupid as you are already there. But the personell is very helpful and explains everything with passion, they are very proud and fond of their area - great.

The top of Galtis mountain peak presents the most fantastic panoramic view of the lakes and nature reserves. Unfortunately the area and access to the top is only available to permit holders. To drive to the top the vehicle will need snow and/or studded tyres..

This is clearly a high end activity, but worth every Euro. Choose your car, and you are off to 8 half an hour sessions of ice driving, with very knowledgeable instructors.
My suggestion is NOT to change car from one day to the other, to make the next day more enjoyable...

Learn about traditional Sami culture and customs from the owners of this magnificent place! Take the short tour or even better: stay the night on reindeer skin and birch branches after an authentic sauna! I had a great weekend!

Really enjoyed the Skidoo . Very professional staff who thoroughly went through all safety procedures. All skidoos where in good condition and the route was varied and challenging. On a clear day, you get these amazing views over the lakes. Looks like a postcard! It takes around 3h to go to the top, from the parking lot. Along the trail, there is a hut, a fire place and a bathing place. Part of the Kungsleden trail.
