This Arnold Palmer-Ed Seay course lives up to its name.

A group of us played this course and I really enjoyed it. The course was in good shape and it was challenging to play but not so hard to enjoy. All were nice here and I would gladly go back.

Awesome views, fun to play, well maintained, friendly staff! #5 is a tricky green, #7 is drivable, #8 & 9 are straight forward and score-able to bring home a good score.

A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort

A-Ga-Ming means many things. To the Native Americans, it is a word meaning "on the shore." For families from across the Midwest and the nation, it means a beautiful vacation destination, complete with lodging, dining, and relaxation. For the golf community, it means a 72-hole golf resort nestled on the shores of Torch Lake and Lake Michigan in 3 beautiful, highly sought after, Northern Michigan locations. For everyone, it means the perfect destination for group trips, membership & daily-fee-play, dreamlike weddings, legendary family reunions, celebrations and more!

My husband and I stayed one night in a king jacuzzi suite. It had a balcony overlooking Torch Lake and green 8 of The Torch course. It was fully equipped with plates, glasses, utensils, paper towels, etc. We played The Torch and Sundance courses. Both were in great shape considering all the rain MI has had this year. And the clubhouse/restaurant that overlooks the lake on the Torch course was spectacular. Highly recommend this for a couple night's getaway for couples or a gals or guy's golf retreat!

The Chief Golf Course

Welcome to The Chief Golf Course, or as it has long been known, "The Spirit of the North." The Chief Golf Course is among the best destinations in Northern Michigan golf. Here at The Chief, we have everything you need to create a perfect day on the course, from a fully-stocked pro shop to membership opportunities to a hospitable staff.

We played The Chief yesterday for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The course is in great shape. While we are far from being great golfers, I can see where this may be a bit much for those new to the sport - it’s a challenge! Also, finding the 16th fairway could potentially be frustrating for some. We found it eventually. We will definitely play this beautiful course again.
