Cooper Vineyards

Reviewed By AppMyHome - El Dorado Hills, United States

Cooper Vineyards is one of the best vineyards in Amador County, and their patriarch, Dick Cooper is famous in the area for his amazing grapes. This is a family-owned and operated place and it is likely you will run into someone from the Cooper family during your tasting. Their Italian and Rhone style wines are absolutely delicious, and their Dicembre port-style dessert wine is one of our favorites. They have great wines for every price range - if you want a real treat, splurge on the Sangiobello or Anniversary. Cooper also gives back to the community with lots of charity events and their wine club events are some of the most popular in the area.

Quite possibly the nicest, cleanest, well-run parks I've ever seen. Tranquil forests and informative cultural exhibits - perfect. A special shout out to ranger Lee Eal! Knowledgeable and helpful - made our camping experience wonderful!

This was a Father's Day trip for our family. Even though we have lived in Tuolumne County for years we have never visited any mines in Calaveras County. The guide was very knowledgeable and we all had a great tour. The only issue was we came on the hottest day of the year.

Historical winery, farm museum on site.

Excellent wine selection. We visited on a Monday, if you have a chance it's a great day to visit. Lack of crowds, and time to enjoy the wine tasting without distractions. We happened to visit at the same time as new friends we met at our Inn so we were comparing notes. This was our first time at Sobon, but it won't be our last.
