You won’t find Zauchensee in the tour brochures but it’s absolutely perfect. About 10 excellent hotels all within walking distance from the lifts or ski in/out from slopes, 2 or 3 apres ski bars with the traditional Austrian themes and a wide variety of slopes and good area across the Ski Amadé region. I’ve been going here for around 10 years and I still enjoy it every time.

Really great place, several pools with different temperature and salt concentration. Most of all we liked the sauna part, there were less people and no shouting children. There are several saunas with different temperatures, rituals are conducted according to the schedule. There is a small inside and bigger outside pool with place to lie in bubbles. The only minus is that you do not know when the bubbles in the pools will be activated, sometime you have to wait.
