The Mabel Hartzell Historical Home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Local Landmark for the City of Alliance, Ohio. It was built in 1867 by Matthew and Mary Edwards Earley. Their adopted daughter Mabel Hartzell bequeathed it to the Alliance Historical Society in 1954. It is a fine example of Italianate architecture and features 7 marble fireplaces. The Home is open by appointment and during the Carnation Festival in August each year.

Plus it supports a cause: almost all the food is locally grown!

Be amazed as you are guided through the history and folklore of trolls and troll dolls in this unique and world record holding museum! A 45 minute guided tour will fill your day with mystique and magic as you are taken through two floors, six rooms, and a troll cave complete with waterfalls and and a troll mountain. There is a DreamWorks Trolls exhibit and guest appearances by Poppy on select days.
