Lots of dealers and no new stuff! Be prepared to spend all day here as there is so much to see - plus most dealers are in tents and it takes a while to get in and out of each. Prices were on the upper end but still seemed fair.

Our family spent the day at Bittersweet. We rented equipment and paid for the hour group lessons. My teen boys chose to snow board and my husband & I skied. The instructors were timely and very helpful. They took time with each individual to help them with the basics. The only thing they could've told my boys how to navigate the chair lift with snow boards. The slopes were nice, the food was ok. I didn't realize that there was a picnic area to bring in food. I will definintely bring my own food next time. We went between Christmas and New Years so they were super busy. The staff were all young and maybe not as helpful as some of the other reviews indicated. I specifically told them that we were new and they didn't really help with telling us the process of where to go next, what to do, etc. We figured it out and had a good time.

The owner was nice- there was a worker that was a little rude at the beginning but by the time the kids were on the horses & taking off she became more friendly- she was having a rough day... Our kids loved the trail ride- they liked their trail guide! The horses were gentle but not dead heads!!!

Allegan County Historical Society

This was a great museum for a small town. All items in it are from the immediate area, and all were donated. Allegan has a varied history, and the docent was happy to tell us all about it. Jail cells upstairs are intact, some have been filled with barber and dentist relics. It is also free, but only open 2 days a week. We really enjoyed it.
