Albury Botanic Garden

This is an oasis in the middle of the city. Beautifully designed and maintained it is an oasis many cities could learn from. Peaceful and quiet just walk around and let yourself be smothered in an ocean of natural beauty. Trees, flowers, rose's combined with structures inside the Children's Garden you will relax just being present here.

Lake Hume

Kind of the NSW roadblock to allow us diseased “Mexicans” to access the north side of Lake Hume dam wall. A beautiful and peaceful spot. Grassed areas, huge wall, spillway in action and educational engineering sign on hydro power generation. Did some fishing below wall in Murray and above lake (no luck, fish won the day).

The wetlands is very well maintained and we spent a few hours walking the park with binoculars looking for all the different species. Partially shaded, good toilet facilities and free to visit which is great for families
