small, neat, clean, intimate - bad PA system couldn't hear sitting in seats at end of left field foul line - with organized group "free food" just barely warm - beer $6.50 can - so close to the field we could hear the thud of the baseball in the mitt as the players were warming up in the outfield at the foul line

Skydive Baltimore

Reviewed By ccum11 - Morgantown, West Virginia

The website said "We will match any Groupon Price! Call for Details!" and was accompanied by a "Make a Reservation" link. I clicked the "Make a Reservation" link and booked a jump. On the day of my jump, I brought a Groupon with me. Skydive Baltimore would not match the Groupon price, explaining to me that "Call for Details" actually means "We will match any Groupon Price as long it you prepay!"

I would have been happy to prepay, but it was not mentioned on the website. And what details would I need to call about? - "We will match any Groupon price." is pretty straight forward, especially when accompanied by a "Make a Reservation" link.

It was about a 2 hour wait after checking in before my jump because it was very busy. Once it was my turn to go up in the plane, I was rushed through the preparation and instructional process. The actual instructors are clearly good at what they do, but it was obvious they were rushing to get as many customers out of the plane that day. They hardly had time to attend to the nervous girl who fainted in the hanger.

The jump itself was a blast, there are good views, and the company does a good job editing and turning around a quick video of the dive.

Concord Point Lighthouse

We truly lucked out and found the lighthouse OPEN on a Friday afternoon!!! We LOVED being able to walk to the top. There is a ladder at the top that you have to climb up to see out. Even my husband and I as senior citizens were able to safely climb up and down the ladder and so glad we did. Friendly volunteer there to greet us. It is FREE, but donations are accepted. We appreciate it being open and yes, we made a donation.....of our own choosing. Well worth seeing and doing!

Decoys and the hunting life is not part of my existence. But the museum explains the whys and wherefores of decoy use. There are exhibits of how decoys are made as well as various watercraft from which people hunt. There are examples of various rifles and shotguns used. But go upstairs! Here, the artform of decoys is is full glory. Beautiful examples of a different genre of art.

This is such a great place to go during the fall. They have you-pick pumpkin picking right out of the pumpkin patch. They also have a free hay ride down to the pumpkin patch. Their pumpkins are HUGE and reasonably priced. Perfect to take the family for the holiday.

Susquehanna State Park

Reviewed By rpollard71 - United States

I booked this weekend getaway online via the Maryland State Park web page which was very intuitive. The check-in process at the gate was fast and the staff was very friendly and enthused about her job. Finding the campsite we reserved was very easy to find. My family and I stayed at campsite 25, which was ideal since we were very close to the bathroom facilities.

The bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. There is a laundry room, but most people use it to wash dishes. It's basically a very large stainless steel double sink with hot and cold water. The men's restroom has two showers, one with a bench that can be folded up for more room. The other shower has a shower caddy to store your soap, razor, washcloth, etc..

The campsite itself is maintained well. My only suggestion is to replace the fire-ring/grill as it's showing its wear and tear.

There are many trails, beautiful scenery and just an overall great park to stay or visit for the day.

There is no pool, but there is one about 6 or 7 miles way which was great and very large to accommodate a lot of people.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary today with a Hot Air Balloon flight with Light Flight Air Balloons. Mike, the owner, was our pilot. Who would have thought that you could have such a magical experience? Mike has 35 years of experience in ballooning and you can see it from the moment you meet him. You are driven to one of several launch sites that are selected based on wind conditions; you watch them unpack and prepare the balloon for flight, and then before you know it you are off! It is such a surreal experience. You float over the beautiful farm land in that part of Maryland from just over the tree tops to about 1000 feet up. People will come out of their houses to wave at you and say hello. After about an hour of flight we touched down in a farm field and the farm owners came out with their kids and talked with us and drank champagne as the balloon was packed back up. We will always cherish this experience and can't wait to do it again some day!! Highly recommended!

Churchville Golf Center

Reviewed By Mike C - Eldersburg, Maryland

We visited Churchville Golf Center just because it looked interesting as we drove past. In general, the courses are well-maintained, and the holes are challenging enough. There are two courses--one that is a more modern, probably more challenging one, and another that is more mini-golf, with windmills, and a pirate ship, and that sort of stuff, which is the one we did. It was good fun! Our granddaughter loved it, too.

There is also a driving range here, and batting cages from slow-pitch softball to major league baseball. Sure, I took a few swings! And I think compared to most similar places, their prices are fairly reasonable ($5/person/game for mini-golf, and $.50 for 8 balls in the batting cages). Fun time!
