Gustave Moreau was a symbolist. I found his paintings fascinating and his drawings shows what a master he was. A visit takes you through his living quarters and then up into his studio. We bought a joint ticket which included the Jean- Jacques Henner museum - a very different painter.

This passage is very short in length, but worth o visit for its style and grace. A few unique shops plus some places for coffee or lunch. Your stroll will take you off the street and away from the traffic which was the point when it was created.

Expect to spend between 1-2 hours at this great museum. Despite the fact that it has only one floor (for not initiated members) to explore, the abundance of information, artifacts, and masterpieces is substantial. You don't have to be at the 33 degree to have a unique cultural, historical, and philosophical experience.

A lovely, intimate, FREE tour that is very interesting if you are a devotee of fragrance and perfumes. The displays of antique bottles and labels were beautiful and interesting. At the end of the tour, they will offer to help you select products to buy from their current collections, but I did not feel obligated or pressured.

This was a wonderful experience! The museum offered an interesting and insightful guided tour explaining the history of perfume making. Our tour guide, Charlotte, spoke perfect English and answered all the various questions of guests. She was a joy! The museum tour culminated in an opportunity to shop fragrances and learn about specific scents and individual preferences. My family and I enjoyed the experience very much and will recommend it to our friends and colleagues

Located in the Romantic district called "New Athens", this town-house with its paved courtyard, central garden and two artists studios has kept its 19th century charm. Its first owner, the painter Ary Scheffer entertained the artistic intelligentsia of the time: Delacroix, Liszt, Rossini, Sand, Chopin, Tourgueniev, Dickens... The museum is a perfect setting for Scheffer and his contemporaries' paintings and George Sand's memorabilia (paintings,furniture, jewellery).

Tucked into the base of Montmartre, a little bit hidden as you have to walk down a small lane way, opening up to a beautiful courtyard, the displays were very pleasing to the eyes, we enjoyed just ambling along taking it all in, another bonus admission is free.
