Really nice place at the end of street with fabulous view to Baltic Sea. I found it thanks to TripAdvisor review. Dishes were fresh, made in very elegantly way. Feelt like in real restaurant not like next take away bar which we often see at polish sea. What is more service was very kind, without imposing or trying throw out because next customers. I recommend this place for sure without any doubt.

We were disappointed with Miezyzdroje unfortunately. It didn't help that it was pouring with rain when we arrived, and whilst we weren't expecting seaside seclusion were we taken aback by the sheer volume of people. The picture of this restaurant on Trip Advisor caught my eye. It's a bit more upmarket than a lot of the eateries here (paper plates, plastic cutlery), it comes with a bit more of a price tag, but that meant that it was quite calm and there weren't too many people. so made for a pleasant evening. There was a kids' menu, which is always a bonus when faced with massive portions, My husband ordered the t-bone steak which was well executed and very tasty; I plumped for a chef's experimental special of golambki filled with salmon: non-traditional and in my opinion it didn't quite work, but it was alright. We thought we'd try some wine, but there wasn't a great choice and confirmed to us that it's best to stick to beer and spirits in Poland. So, even given this was on the posh side of restaurants in this town, dinner for 4, (only one child choosing from the kids') cost us £46. So one can't complain!

It certainly looks upmarket, right on the promenade, in a lovely old restored house. Once inside, it looks more like a family restaurant - and yes, first impressions count... they made a good start with the humongous old wooden furniture, white walls, interesting papercut art on the walls and driftwood knick-knacks, but add decents chairs and proper white linen and they'll be on to a winner. Also, they appear to have acquired their crockery in the mif-90's when wavy plates were en vogue... but hey, we're in Eastern Europe, we can't be all about Stalin baroque, glitter and chandeliers. The service wasn't as impeccable and great as in many cheaper establishments, but the food... was pretty special. Attracted by the "Polish old-fashioned cooking" adverstised on a blackboard, we went for a restorative New Years Day early dinner. My companion had the borscht (lovely) and a meat roulade (looked good, portion on the small side he reported). I had some sort of Lithuanian Christmas soup which was basically a thick mushroom broth with noodles, amazingly meat-free and very tasty indeed, followed by a "croquette" with

We'd arrived in Miezyzdroje in the pouring rain and as our hotel couldn't let us into our room for a couple of hours, we joined the hoards on the main drag looking for lunch as respite from the weather. There are lots of restaurants, eateries, and street food here - the town was a lot busier than we were expecting - and they all look a bit of a muchness. The kids plumped for this. We were seated quickly, served quickly. There was a kids' menu, and plenty of choice otherwise. The food was fine, both my husband and I had pan fried whole sea bream and fries. There was a variety of fish on offer - no indication whether or not they were from the Baltic. Do you get sea-bream in the Baltic? I doubt it?! That was a thing actually - lots of fish on offer in the local eateries, but I don't think they were necessarily fished locally. The service was pleasant and efficient. I rated this Very Good, rather than Average, though I would have chosen Good, had there been this choice; I think the leap from Average to Very Good is a large one, and Trip Advisor should have something in-between. That said, coming from London, it was very good value - lunch for 4 (only one child ate from the cheaper kids' menu) was less than £30.
