This was our second visit and we were as impressed as on our first visit. We were given a delicious complimentary bowl of spicy seafood bisque on arrival (very welcome on an icy Cape Town day). We then shared a plate of perfectly cooked prawns, served with the most delicious soya sauce-based sauce and fabulous egg-fried rice. The staff were attentive and efficient (and I loved the teapot they brought my tea in).

The biryani we had was not up to satisfaction, average as well as the curry.The restaurant and their foods donât Iook inviting to me this visit.personally think they use to do much better. Since thereâs a few more Indian restaurants keep coming up in and around Hout Bay, this restaurant themself need to do better to stand out amongst the others or at least keep us coming back.

Our family of four visited Cheyne's for a Sunday afternoon lunch.The service was good, and the food and presentation was excellent. A really lovely atmosphere especially outside in the garden area. Service from Bronwen was excellent! The sushi is fantastic and very well priced. We (7of us) ordered a variety of different platters and from the specials of the day and everything was superb.
