Somerset West (Afrikaans: Somerset-Wes) is a town in the Western Cape, South Africa. Organisationally and administratively it is included in the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality. It is situated in the Helderberg area (formerly called Hottentots Holland), about 50 kilometres (30 mi) east of Cape Town central city area, and 10 kilometres (6 mi) from Strand. The town is overlooked by the Helderberg (meaning "clear mountain"), a part of the Hottentots-Holland range of mountains. It continues to be disappointing when people have a Dream to open a Restaurant, and that Dream is let down by bad service.We met at Yaelis with Friends before the movies the other night because the food is really good value, fresh and different, but when the staff get the orders wrong and don't apologise or offer to rectify, I really cannot handle it.We have been here several times and when the Owner is there the place ticks, so please have competent staff run your restaurant when you are unable to be there otherwise you wont last much longer.We will go back because the food is so different, but please get the service right.

We sat outside on the balcony, was quite strange to see the main road from this angle. Friendly waiter craft beers and ciders. Hubby had the brisket burger which was stunning and I thoroughly enjoyed my sliders. Quirky decor - enjoyable

A very rustic restaurant and pub just out of town. Not a spot you will find â or go to easily, but friends recommended this and we had to investigate. Small inside seating area with a larger outside (under cover) area. Great selection of local and imported beers on tap. Jovial atmosphere with live music. Although we did not have a meal, the food looked great and we will definitely be back to try the Eisbein and some of the other German dishes on offer.

Being from the UK Iâve really missed my local micro pub and brewery. So, it was soooooo nice to discover Triggerfish! The place is so authentic and genuine. No pretentious trendy crap like other places in town. The beer is super good and tasty and thereâs a decent amount to choose from. Absolutely love the industrial, solid feel to the building. We shared a big plate of chips too which were amazing!! Perfect to wash the beer down with. Highly recommend this place for true beer/ale lovers who want to relax with some tasty beers and good music.
