Friends and I returned recently and we are so glad we did. The wonderful lady that helped last time, Hilda was there again - friendly as ever and super efficient. She has such a good sense of humour and the patience of a saint! I Try the Fokof Lager (local craft beer) - it's cold, on tap and delicious. I had a pizza - what is really great here is that the bases are super thin and crispy and I can order a garlic and herb base and add my toppings making it vegan! My one friend had a pizza and the other a burger - all were super delicious and not a crumb left on our plates. Our bill with drinks R443.00 - The pimped up burger is R135 (so, the most expensive burger) and it is huge! Pizza's are around R100 to R120. There is a nice, relaxed, comfortable vibe. Will definitely be back!

Always enjoy this beautiful mountain pass with views forever. What a shining beacon it was once we emerged out of the thick fog covering the road all the way from Porterville until we reached Piekenierskloof Pass.

We often drive past honingklip and never stopped as it is on the road to our weekend destination, Hermanus. This time we decided to try it out and what a wonderful discovery. A simple farm house with tables and benches in various rooms. We shared a table in the ou area and ordered the Sunday roast which was pork. As I had never had apple cider before I decided to try it. Wow!it was delicious. The food was first rate, tasty and generous. The crackling sinfully morish. The service friendly and helpful. We will go back in a couple of days taking along family.

You will definitely meet the drinking locals here. They are friendly and will charm you with local news. The atmosphere is very austere and it's more of a man's pub than a lady's. It can get pretty noisy and hot but the veranda is good if you want a quieter drink. Worth a visit anyway.
