Visit for a lunch, after swimming with the selas. Great place! Awesome food and enormous menu for your choice, with good vibes all around, spacious... excellent spot at the bay, with a very good structure at the restaurant. Everyone should visit for a great time and very good sea food taste.

Parking is available downstairs and staff look after the carpark while you dine.

Great location & good service. But the seafood platter was overpriced (prawns, Kob, fish cakes & chips). The prawns were tasty, but the Kob was bland & overcooked. The fish cakes were nothing spectacular. I would rather drive a little further and go to Kalk Bay for dinner.

This upstairs restaurant has an outside decking with a lovely view over the bay. Itâs got a great nautical theme and a lot of photos and memorabilia. The staff have matelot style uniforms and are very friendly and efficient. Itâs mainly a fish place and thatâs what we had, beautifully cooked and a good price. If you are in Hout Bay, this place is a must for lunch or dinner.

Good food at reasonable prices.The Calamari is brilliant! There are daily specials on offer at very reasonable prices.Parking is sometimes an issue, but only because the place is so popular. Go early ;)Service is efficient.

We were visiting South Africa and were having a tour of the area by friends who live in nearby Llandudno, when we all felt it was coffee time. So we decided on The Hub. We had a very pleasant greeting from the staff, who were quite happy for us to just have a coffee. So we spent a pleasant half hour in this great cafe and have to say that I would certainly return again, especially for the great welcome given by the staff!Thanks so much for your review - we really appreciate our guests taking the time to write! Fishermanâs is a simple eatery, which can have itâs charm. Our server, unfortunately, wasnât very good so that did color our experience. The legendary prawns were much appreciated by one in our party, but the chicken schnitzel and chicken salad were mediocre. All in all an average experience.

This was our second visit and we were as impressed as on our first visit. We were given a delicious complimentary bowl of spicy seafood bisque on arrival (very welcome on an icy Cape Town day). We then shared a plate of perfectly cooked prawns, served with the most delicious soya sauce-based sauce and fabulous egg-fried rice. The staff were attentive and efficient (and I loved the teapot they brought my tea in).
