We stayed in Mandurah and this wonderful cafe was walking distance from our apartment. I think we must have ended up going there every day! It was lovely to try the different breakfast offerings and enjoy a coffee to start the day.The staff were friendly and efficient, all of our meals were divine. If you like to try new meal trends and are happy to have something a bit more special than your usual cooked breakfast this is the spot for you.

I came based on TA reviews but sadly left feeling less satisfied than most of the reviewers it seem.We came in 4 and everyone ordered different dishes and drinks. My veg big breakfast was rather expensive and nothing special. Portion was smaller than the standard I would normally get in Perth. What was disappointing to us was we came thinking this was a cafe where we could find gourmet food. Everything on our plates seems to be packaged food :( including the juice they had came from bottles not freshly squeezed. We paid approx $120 and that’s pretty expensive for what we received. All 4 left rather disappointed.Service was good but we came for the food. We didn’t bother taking photos as we wanted to leave quickly to try other cafe which we wished we had given what we saw while walking to this place.Hi, We are sorry about your dissatisfaction with our cafe but we have to disagree with you. Our juices are freshly made in the morning and even sometimes made in front of customers, our food is definitely NOT packaged and is all fresh. You mentioned your meals came to $120 for 4 people. $120 divided by 4 is $30, with if you are ordering a $25 BIG breakfast and a $8 FRESH juice comes to $33 for just one person which is a regular price for eating out in Mandurah. If you look on our trip adviser, facebook or google you will see just how big our portions are and we have had many comments about how big our portions are. I am sorry that we can not make the portions any bigger but we do not appreciate these kind of lies about our cafe as we are passionate about our jobs. Have a nice day and god bless. Samudera Mandurah

Tuesday, Melbourne Cup madness reigns and almost every spot on the waterfront cafe strip is festooned with punters well fuelled up by 12:30pm. Not wanting to feel grossly under-dressed by sitting among this lot, we walk the street, searching out something casual, but tasty, and not crazy expensive. Eventually we settle on Samudera Artisan Food & Bakehouse. It has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and is tastefully appointed. I especially like the slabs of tree trunk that serve as tables inside. It feels earthy, rustic, warm and inviting. This is matched by the warm and friendly smiles that accompany our greeting. Buttermilk chicken burgers seem to be popping up on every casual menu we look at these days, and Samudera do a very nice one, with homemade shoestring fries cooked perfectly. My ham, feta and spinach quiche is encased in crisp puff pastry, and shows how well a proper bread oven cooks pastries. My cappuccino was delicious, full and fluffy, and served in a beautiful mug that would happy grace our home. Chilled tap water is loaded with citrus fruit - yum! Was very happy to linger on here while my better half went looking for bargains up the street. We were mistakenly delivered a toasted sandwich to our table which I grabbed a photo of before it was replaced with our quiche and taken to the correct owner. Could have quite happily eaten that too - it looked really tasty!

WOW! What a breakfast - enough food to feed an army. Great menu, great location and sitting outside on the boardwalk in the sunshine was a bonus. Good coffee, great juices and good value.Service was a little slow, this was not helped with the fact that we did not realise it was order at the counter .....and it was busy! Waitress was clearly under the pump, poor girl! Top spot!

Had coffee here a few times over the week coffee is good and it gave me the opportunity to observe the operations of a business and owner that understand what service should beStarting with a smile and the door being opened for you it continues as al the way through to the time you leave with a thank you for your custom farewell and the door being opened for youWatching the owner Conrad “deploy” his staff is great to observe, his underlying ethos appears to be somewhat of the apple model of doing something before the client knows they need it by things like constantly watching to fill people’s water and tidy plates away so customers can enjoy their coffee at a clean tableAttention to detail is outstanding and it is easy to see why the overall review is excellent
