A colleague of mine who had visited previously recommended I try this local brewery. On my last night there I was able to walk there from my hotel and I enjoyed my experience there.I tried their beer sampler, providing six 5 oz samples of different beers. Delicious. The food was typical pub style with local twists. The preparation and flavour was great and the prices extraordinarily low for what I am used to where I love.I will happily return here again.

My wife and I were hungry for some wings and a beer so we stopped here to give it a try. Typical sports bar with many TV's blaring and pretty plain layout. The wings were large and pretty good. I had fries and the wife mac n cheese. Pretty much everything came served in cardboard throw aways. No dishes of any kind. The french fries were typical frozen and didn't get many. The mac n cheese had an odd flavor and the wife left most of it.Our biggest complaint was the bill. Chicken wings, 2 very small sides and 2 beers during happy hour plus tip - $40.00.Those wings must have come off of golden chickens. Won't be back.

Stopped in for dinner. There was a large selection of draft beer. I ordered a salad with salmon on it. My wife had an Italian sandwich. Both meals were excellent!! Staff was very friendly. You won’t go wrong stopping in at this place.

I got into town late and wanted to find someplace close to my hotel. This one was recommended by the hotel people. It was after 7:00 when I walked in. I was talking with my server and she said that the buffet was still available. I looked at the options and everything looked good except for the pizza (looked like it had been sitting a while). My server asked what I like on my pizza and she had one made to go on the buffet!. It was out and still hot by the time I finished my salad. Some of the other entree's were cool, because of the time. Their menu includes some Lebanese dishes I'll try next time I'm in town. My server was great and I enjoyed my dinner. With a beer my bill was just over $10.

Applebee's

Arrived pretty late in the evening; around 10 PM. We were seated promptly, and our server got our drink orders and brought them quickly. She took food orders when she brought the drinks. I chose the Firecracker Shrimp Cavatelli. The food took a little time to come out, but when you're cooking for a table of sixteen, in addition to your other customers, things don't just happen instantaneously. My dinner was more than delicious, and I savored every bite. This will easily be an order-again. Server kept my glass full at all times, a blessing since my dinner was spicy. Prices reasonable, food quality excellent, service above and beyond. I'll definitely be eating at this Applebee's again.

North End Tavern & Brewery

A local tradition since 1899, the North End Tavern and Brewery (NET) is a brew pub in North Parkersburg, WV. Fun and casual, it serves microbrews crafted on-site and is known for some of the area's best sandwiches.

We often hit Parkersburg taking our lab pups out for a weekend of hiking on walking trails. Interestingly enough I checked into North End Tavern three years ago on FB the very first time we tried it back in 2016 on this same past weekend we were there again. Go with what they know. Their burgers are the FRESHEST most delicate burgers you will EVER have - ordered a large Onion Rings. My hubby is a beer expert and I'm a wine gal so we were both happy. Ironically we're back in town coming up in April and we will be back. Just the best kept secret.
