This is a super casual bar/restaurant with a tavern/saloon feel. They have a great selection of craft beer, including WV brews on tap. The service is friendly and efficient, and it has ample parking. All your pub favorites are here, chicken wings, pretzel bites, burgers and wraps. Our table enjoyed several orders of the chicken and waffle fries with gravy. You will also find some local WV favorites such as pepperoni rolls and fried green tomatoes with a spicy dipping sauce. Itâs a great place for a casual meal.

The Fishbowl is a Morgantown tradition. The restaurant is not made to be modern, neat, and clean looking, but overall itâs great. Cowboy Ranch is excellent. Havenât been there since the outside patio opened, but itâs a nice addition. Staff was great and food was good. I remember a little more sauce on the wings, but they were still good. A must when in Morgantown!

The food at Primantiâs is very consistent and good. I really like the turkey sandwich! They have by far the best coleslaw Iâve ever had. The fries are cooked perfectly. We also like the margherita flatbread and the tots! Basically, anything weâve ordered has been awesome!

Food average with piles of curly fries as our sides and bag-o-lettuce greens for a salad. Good place for kids and college students, who are more into bar food that is lower priced with larger portions. Lots of sports related photos and news articles, TVs broadcasting the latest games, a bar where people sat to eat and watch the games. Service pretty good and staff pleasant.

Stopped by late afternoon. Not busy. Able to sit at bar. Very personable and knowledgeable bartender. Varied draft list and they have an extensive bottle list and wine. Help yourself to water and games. Table seating available in main room and in side room. Music in background not too loud so you hear your friends. Ladies room sink located just outside ladies room at entry door. Limited food menu but good selections to choose from.

Long lunch with good friends and lots of beer and food. Three different selections and all good. Service adequate and non pushy. Can see where it could get rowdy in the evening but that would be expected in college town. Lived up to reputation as a sports bar and looked like would be a fun place on game day.

Dined here recently with family and friends. I had a French dip sandwich and my brother had a Giovanni sandwich both were good and served with chips. Our friend likes the Philly cheese steak there and says its the closest to what he has eaten in Philadelphia. They have daily specials and variety of food options, Moderate prices.They bring mini pretzel bites and mustand when you arrive. There french fries are small ones. Service was okay. Parking lot in awkward to park in at times.Sports memorabilia on walls was impressive.

Recently had dinner here with my family. The beer was excellent and the food was delicious. We are all vegetarians and I really, really appreciated being able to sub tofu for almost any meat on the menu. Meat eaters dont worry you are covered too of course! The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. I highly recommend.

My friend R and I hadnât had dinner together since March and we were passed due. We decided on the Iron Horse Tavern in downtown Morgantown, WV. It was Thursday evening so we went a little early but really there was no reason. With the most of the WVU students gone for the summer it wasnât overly busy just a steady clientele.The cocktail menu is fun to look at with many delicious choices from White sangria with cukes and melon to a spiked lemonade. I had my usual a dirty Titoâs martini while R had the lemon drop. Mine was made right by the addition of more olive juice, hers was prefect and most refreshing. To eat I settled on the shrimp and grits and R had a burger with blue cheese and homemade chips. Her burger was cooked to order. My shrimp was delicious, so tender. I felt there was too much gravy on the grit cakes so their flavor was a bit lost. But the perfect mouthful of shrimp, grits and gravy, was certainly there last night many times. The service was fast but also not intruding. She refilled waters and asked just the right number of times if we were good. Surprisingly we were there for 2 1/2 hours and felt most comfortable.

Mountain State is much larger than it seems from the outside, plus it has two decks of outside seating. We chose to eat outside along the river, which was nice. It is also a working brewery, brewing beer onsite. We started with a buffalo chicken dip as an app finishing with a buffalo chicken pizza for dinner. We ordered the smaller of the two pizzas, and Iâm glad we did. The large is huge. The kids got a salad and a small cheese pizza. The food was good, and the beer was good as well. They do have a few specialty margaritas, My wife enjoyed hers, but my daughter was not wild about hers.
