The restaurant is located on the water. We had lunch in the terrace, so, I canât judge inside.The menu has a little bit of everything ( what usually makes me think that the food is nit going to be very nice) but I was completely wrong this time.Homemade fish and chips were very good, and so was the pizza. Highly recommended, specially on a sunny day. Great for kids too.

This is the only fine dining option at the Stromstad Spa Hotel. Food is mediocre and service is poor. This restaurant right on the quai in Strømstad doesn't look up to much from the outside, but inside there is an open fire on cold days, the staff are friendly and helpful and the fish is really fresh and well prepared. This time I had a prawn open sandwich for lunch and that was absolutely huge! The menu changes according to season. However be aware that the restaurant closes for several months during the winter. It's a good idea to phone to check if it's open - don't rely on the website.

Stromstad harbor is a busy place in the summer. Lots of pleasure- and sailing boats visit Stromstad for buying food and drinking stuff, and to enjoy summer.One of my favorite pastimes is to walk the harbor looking at the nice boats and all the people. If you get hungry or thirsty while strolling on the docks, you have several unpretentious eating-places. Pramen is one of those. This is a converted barge with indoor seating at deck one (ground floor) and outdoor eating and bar on the top deck.If you're looking for fine dining with white tablecloth and silver, forget it. This is a down to earth (sea) eating-place with straightforward food. I had fish and chips, I shared with my wife, but it's not that much food, so better buy one for yourself! I'm no fish-and-chips expert, but the fish was perfect, and the chips looked and tasted like the real thing. A dry white wine, cool and delicious, accompanied the meal. Young and very pleasant Swedish girls, efficient and friendly, served us.All in all a very nice lunch and I will be back the next time in Stromstad!

Fantastic seafood, great atmosphere, excellent service, exciting beer menu...what else can you ask for! This little restaurant is a must when visiting Strømstad. Moulle frittes, fish and chips, and an enormous shrimp sandwich was ordered. Simple and straightforward presentation, great taste...simply a fantastic meal! Thanks! We will be back:-)
