Who would have thought that a place named, Fat Olives, would have pizza. I thought a Greek place for sure but this was a treat. We ordered the Tuscany pizza and I had an IPA to accompany. It included Pesto, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomato, whole roasted garlic cloves, Kalamata olives and I asked for light cheese. This pizza was so good. I even asked for the pizza maker, Vance, to come out. It was tasty, textures were varied, extremely colorful and the crust was chewy. I’d be back in a heartbeat. Do not miss this place. Oh yea, excellent service too!

This is the place to go if you enjoy Mediterranean style food. I especially enjoy their Moussaka. Their dolmas are the best anywhere and the tziki is cold while the pita slices are warm. The atmosphere is pleasant the serving staff are polite and friendly. If you aren't all that hungry you could try their excellent Greek salads. Restaurants like this one are rare in our area and we travel 60 miles to come here. It's worth the trip.

Waited for our second visit before reviewing, just to make sure the first excellent tastiness was repeated. They met the challenge. We’ve had the schwarma pitas plain, with hummus (3 choices of flavor) and with falafel. Everything was very good. Even the fries were well cooked and tasty.

Charming Bride and I had much to celebrate with the conclusion of her hard fought and successful battle against breast cancer. The annual mammograms are very important!.So, based upon the suggestion of Emmy, one of our friends in the Tri-Cities, we decided upon The Kitchen at Barnard Griffin. I had a steak salad affair that was top flight! Nicely presented, delicious to consume. Charming Bride had the chopped salad, which she said was very good. We did not have reservations, but got seated right away in spite of it being a Friday night. I would suggest reservations for most nights. The dining area is fairly small, I don't think it would seat many more than 50 people at most. Service was prompt and professional. The restrooms clean and easily accessible. Music was provided by a rather gifted young man that played an electronic key board, solely instrumentals while we were there. The music was not overpowering. The restaurant was full by the time our dinners arrived after we polished off the two appetizers. The bar seating is adjacent to the restaurant dining area. Attire was everything from wine country tour casual, like us, to well decked out couples out for a romantic evening, to those sitting at the bar that appeared to have gathered there as an end of week beverage amongst friends. The exterior is very nice, with views of the local area. Barnard and Griffin is very easy to get to, adjacent to the Queensgate shopping area freeways. The maître' d was an imposing fellow with a shock of blond hair, he was in constant circulation, taking plates, asking questions about the food, about the service and greeting everyone that came through the door.We shall return, it was a treat we shall repeat!
