Washington, United States Food Guide: 3 Grill food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Vancouver

Discover Restaurants offering the best Grill food in Vancouver, Washington, United States. Steeped in history, Vancouver is the oldest city in Washington. Once the largest western outpost of the British Hudson's Bay Company, where supplies and food were bartered in the 1800s, it was closed in 1860 as Americans took over commerce. The outpost was later recreated as the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. For more history, check out the Pearson Air Field, the oldest operating airfield in the West, where vintage aircraft are displayed at the Pearson Air Museum. If adventure is your bag, Vancouver is the perfect base for day trips to the Columbia River Gorge, the breathtakingly beautiful 70-mile river stretch that cuts through the Cascade Mountains, or Mount St. Helens, the site of the famous volcano, both of which offer a slew of outdoor activities. For calmer pastimes, cruise the picturesque river in the Columbia Gorge riverboat, or visit Beacon Rock, the world's second largest monolith, where a walking trail leads to spectacular panoramic views.

We were staying in Salmon Creek area and liked what we read about Farrar’s Bistro. Mixed drinks were Huckleberry Lemonade and Pomegranate Collins, also liked Canton Cabernet. Food items included Fish Tacos, 1/2 Picatta, their seafood special and Chimichurri Steak. All excellent. We enjoyed it so well that next day we came back for a late lunch prior to leaving the Vancouver/Portland area. Food and service were at high standards. Maybe a 7-10 minute drive off I-5. Few turns and not many traffic lights.

Celebrating a birthday with a friend. Our server was fabulous, friendly, totally knew the menu. He joked around with the birthday girl. All the items we ate, and there were a few! appetizer, main meal and dessert....well, it was a birthday! We each had a cocktail and weren't sure we would be able to drive afterwards. Wonderful and strong...no one orders a drink and wants the mixer :) My salmon salad was wonderful. Nice crisp lettuce and fresh salmon. The birthday girl had fish tacos and loved them. Finally we finished up "sharing" the chocolate cake! Location, Location, Location......WildFin has it all!

Apparently this place is a steakhouse first and a breakfast place second. They only open for breakfast Wed-Fri or something like that. We just happened upon it one morning and stopped. Tiny lot, tiny slots. Had to get gymnastic to get in and out of the car. Cars parked in slots next to the building hung over and blocked the sidewalk. The hash browns they serve were new to me. Ribbons of potatoes shaped like fettucci noodles. Slightly cooked, not at all brown. I was unsure if they were supposed to be that way so ate a few - not horrible but not my idea of hash browns. My milk glass had lipstick on it. Unfortunately I only noticed it after chugging my milk. Coffee was diner grade, not rich and flavorful. Server was cute and friendly and did a good job. If I ever go back I’ll wait until dinner and try a steak.
