We wanted to watch the ballgame while getting something to eat-- hopefully something more than deep-fried bar food-- and try a new place. This place was great! Service was quick, friendly and courteous. Salad was robust and not just lettuce. Steak was lean and hardly any fat. Baked potato tasted baked and not steamed or nuked. Will return.

The Matador serves fresh Tex-Mex cuisine and premium tequilas in an inviting, social atmosphere with amber lighting and unique, hacienda-inspired decor.
A good place for drinks with a good selection of happy hour appetizers. The house speciality is tequila and the margaritas went down very well

We met friends there during Seattle Restaurant Week for our first visit. Everything ordered was prepared very well and the service was excellent. Even extra anchovies were given when requested for the Caesar salad! The server gave good advice when asked about the items on the menu, as well.

This is a lively (e.g. loud) and modern restaurant/bar in downtown Redmond. We tried a variety of drinks, small plates and larger entrees. The drinks were well prepared and the service was very good. Unfortunately, nothing on the menu really stood out. They all seemed under-flavored as other reviewers noted. We had the cauliflower, burger, portobello burger, fried chicken and Caesar salad. Seem to me they need a new menu and/or executive chef. Would recommend for drinks, but not for dinner.

Food was very good, and quick. Portions are sized appropriately, as opposed to the massive plates some restaurants serve. Service was prompt, with food coming out quickly and perfectly timed. The one big negative was seating tables of two next to a loud group of about 20, which destroyed any ambiance the restaurant might have had. I would not return unless I was certain the noise level would be significantly lower than last nights experience.

This place is tucked away in a little strip mall but worth finding. We had a great meal with very friendly staff and fast service. I must admit my favorite item was the raspberry drop! Holy cow the "glass" was an ice sculpture! Our table enjoyed the pulled pork Mac and cheese, chicken tender salad, hamburgers, house made potato chips, house made donuts and rib tips. Everything was very tasty. We would recommend this place to anyone who is in the area.

Probably the best pizza in Issaquah! We ordered the grilled romaine and a pepperoni pizza to share. Both very good. I also ordered a classic Old Fashioned which was good as well. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Good, bustling vibe. Issaquah needs more casual dining options like the Black Duck. Leave the kids at home (it's 21 and over I think) and plan a fun date night here. Next time I'm going to try the burgers. They looked very appetizing!

Stopped in on a rainy afternoon before we hit the wineries. Ordered the Tipsy Burger and the Zeus.....both were very tasty, freshly made, quite delicious. If you like gyros, then you'll like the Zeus. Good fries...both the regular and the sweet potato. The service was quick and friendly. The back of the server shirts say, Tip Servers, Not Cows....cute. Overall a great spot to grab a good burger.

We have been going to this particular location for the past several years. In fact, it is one of our go-to restaurants when friends and family are visiting. So it was no surprise that our daughter wanted to go there for her birthday dinner. We have always gone there for the food - local, healthy and good portions. The quality has always been great. The calamari appetizer is one of our favorites. However, it was a far from pleasant experience this time. Their kids meal comes with a bowl of fruit. When the fruits arrived, we found that one of the grapes had white fuzzy mold all over it. We asked the server for another bowl explaining that this bowl had mold. It got really weird after that. The server examined it carefully (at our table) and then took the bowl over to the manager who inspected it further. The rest of our food came out....and eventually another bowl of fruit. The server apologized and said that they had opened a new bag of grapes. I hope that was indeed the case. What was surprising was that we did see the manager a few times - he brought food over to the next table. But not once did he stop by to apologize. Come on - mold in a kid's meal is pretty unacceptable at any eating place. The bill came and there were no surprises. We paid the full price and our server made sure to not hang around the table too much. Not even the customary "how was everything?". When we were leaving, I told the hostess about the disappointing service - while I understand that the mold was not intentional, the least the manager could have done was stop by the table and apologize. She offered to get us a coupon for a free appetizer for the next time. I told her that based on our experience, there would be no next time!!There are lots of great eating places in Issaquah. One with moldy food and an unapologetic manager can be easily avoided.

I ordered veggie burger And corn bisque. The soup was excellent, burger was so heavily covered in cheese it was unbearable. Our server Alysha was great.no questions asked she offered me something else on menu and took my meal off the bill. My hubby ordered a burger eolth bacon and onion rings..he liked it. To management::: Please increase the lighting...the dining room is just too dark.
